Indiana Jones and the Monkey King In 1985, Columbus wrote a script for a third Indiana Jones film entitled Indiana Jones and the Monkey King. Columbus' script included Indy taking a trip with his assistant Betsy to a secret city protected by soldier gorillas and governed by the evil Monkey King. According to Columbus, the script was written so that the story didn't appear too similar to the previous film Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. However, at the end, Columbus' script was rejected and the film was finally released in 1989 under the title Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and directed by Steven Spielberg. In 2017, Columbus' script was adapted into a five-part live reading/audio drama on the Alcohollywood podcast.

Was there nothing about "Wu Han?" He was Indiana's other apprentice besides Short Round round in Shanghai. He was killed by Lao Che's men and claimed that they had "many adventures" in his final breath. I always found this odd because Spielberg clearly wanted his own James Bond out of Indy, and each film starts with an adventure that has little to do with the rest of the film. Short Round does not mention; nor does he question Wu Han's disappearance, so it feels like the character and actor was added in late into the script to give Indy the upper hand up until Wu's death. Now having a deeper look into Indy's history before the films, there does not seem to be any space for Wu Han's "many adventures" with Indy. (unless he appeared in a cartoon, book, comic, or any other medium outside of movies. Heck, even a wayang kulit would do.)

Correct me if I am wrong but wasn't Indy and his mother on the Titanic? I thought I read about that somewhere and when the video said that his mother died of Scarlet fever in May of 1912 that actually made a lot of sense because I read where several surviving passengers ended up contracting Scarlet fever. Edit: I just read the fandom, Indiana was on the ship with a friend who also survived, but his mother was not on the ship. So that makes me wonder if maybe Indiana contracted Scarlet fever and passed it to her. I still need to look more but yeah that's what I'm kind of thinking happened. Edit 2: I'm not seeing anything mentioning how she got it so it's up for debate. I'm going with my theory, but if anyone has one I'd love to hear it.

The brawl scene between the high school jocks and the bikers was pretty hilarious not just in the fourth film, but also because in a lot of stories where the main female character has two male love interests, one is often a high school jock and the other is often a delinquent who rides a motorcycle and is part of a biker gang. Though I wasn't a fan of the choice of background music that they played during the scene.
