Mondo being turned into butter is my go to reason to explain why Danganronpa is one of my favorite series ever. I first saw the anime, and I got further into it from there. But seriously, when people say that they haven't heard of Danganronpa this is usually how I react: "Dude, it's totally nuts and I love it. This gang member kills a crossdressing kid, then an evil teddy bear turns the gang member into butter, spreads the butter on some waffles, and eats the waffles in front of their traumatised classmates! You should check it out!"

The difference is that Danganronpa 1, 2 and AE have been out in English for years, while the English localization of NDRV3 comes out in about a month. The brief bit of V3 near the end is a fan translation.

It's good that Danganronpa is getting popular now, but I'm quite worried. Because "those" kind of people could get in the fandom. I'm scared that the Danganronpa fandom ends up like the Undertale or Fnaf fandoms. Yes, I know every fandom has its dark sides. I can. His execution is based on a late 19th century controversial book by Helen Bannerman called "Little Black Sambo" Where Sambo tricks four tigers into running around in circles until they are turned to butter for his mother to use for pancakes. More info can be found online. And apparently, Mondo's entire body isn't all of the butter, (although its possible to liquefy your body, but into more like salsa than butter.) the butter is said to be his brain juice. I think the velocity of going around in the motorcycle cage made him pop a vein, which released the brain juices as his body was incinerated. Still, no matter how it happened it's a sad fate for Mondo; A tough guy who wanted to be strong as a diamond but was weak on the inside was turned into a paste and eaten by Monokuma. There's NOTHING to prove he existed other than his face on the butter tub and his Crazy Diamond Jacket. And I just made my fav character's death more messed up.

So I just literally marathoned the entire game of DanganRonpa V3 and I gotta say, it was absolutely fantastic. Though I do warn you, I dont care much for spoilers, but SPOILERS WILL RUIN THIS GAME FOR YOU. The final act of V3 is so out of left field and shocking that it might make or break the series for long time fans whom are invested in the series. I thought the ending was brilliant but I cant say for others.
