The thing that enabled me to complete this game was the accessibility feature to slow it down to half speed. I needed that extra time to make sure my dashes were in the correct direction, and not one of the ones next to it. I've been playing video games for decades, that's not a skill problem, that's not a training issue, that's a physical limit of my flesh. Hell, it's not even unrealistic. Once recovered from a spin on a highway after the guy in front of me... I think he slammed on the brakes so the cop with the signal to stay in the right lane would be a witness, because we were *in* the right lane and there was no reason for him to do that. Adrenaline slowed everything down, and I was able to regain control (going in reverse, sadly) and then safely get to the shoulder. Real life has this feature, and I think it needs to be in more games! ^_^

I finished the main part of this game - I didn't get very many strawberries and I didn't do any of the B-side challenges - just the main story. I'm not exaggerating when I say I died more than a thousand times in total across all the levels before reaching the summit. I get the metaphor, I do; the writing is great and the artists did a great job of having the world Madeline navigates be a visual representation of her life struggles. But even so, I think the difficulty tuning was a little too aggressive even for the metaphor, at least for me.
