Janet was asked to be opposite Sylvester during his audition for the seventh Doc, after doing some small scenes with Colin Baker in A Fix With Sontarans, she was happy to oblige and she will be forever remembered and loved for bringing to life the very lovely but loud 'mouth on legs' that was Tegan Jovanka.

She's such a curmudgeon. lol The only needlessly rude guest I ever encountered at a con. But I still love Tegan. Thanks for the clips!

@@robbiemartin9312 In what way was she rude? A con was having an informal meet-n-greet party with guests and some attendees. JF was there and I worked up the nerve to approach her and barely said "hello" when she glared at me and wordlessly and pointedly turned her back on me and froze that way until I dumfoundedly walked away, while her con handlers snickered beside her. It was the weirdest Mean Girl thing, out of nowhere. I wasn't inappropriate in the least, can't imagine what prompted it. The guests were there to talk to the fans after all, my memory is we even paid extra to attend that gathering. I was young enough that it was pretty humiliating. That was decades ago. Who knows what was going on with her life at the time that bled out at the con. But her vocal pro-woman/feminist stance rang pretty hollow with me after that...

Not sure about the other cons with people lining up, but for the 1983 Chicago con, she was wearing the short black leather skirt, possibly a bit shorter than what she wore in Frontios. Absolutely stunning, though unfortunately she was a heavy smoker.

Never liked Tegan when she debuted, because she wasn't Sarah Jane. But now i adore her 😊
