Even though Maya tells the story about the finger with the Macaws, speaking as someone that has worked with a lot of birds & especially parrots, they are generally far more gentle with people than Amazon's like her green parrot. Even though they look scarier, as a rule I have found that the bigger the beak the less biting force they actually tend to impart as compared to those shorter sharper beaks. For parrots. Do not go putting fingys near any birds of prey.
