Fanga: 10-minute practice track (126 bpm)

Here is a practice track of Fanga. It includes two djembe parts and three dundun parts. Fanga is a popular rhythm from Liberia, West Africa.
If you would like for it to be faster or slower, you can change the tempo incrementally by going to settings, playback speed, and custom (up top).
You can learn the parts included here from master drummer Fara Tolno's Rhythm Reference Project (www.rhythmreference.com/) and Djembe Guru (www.djembeguru.com). If you like what I'm doing, you'll love what he's doing!
That being said, you can use other parts learned elsewhere. There are lots of different ways to arrange Fanga.
I did this track and many more in response to the social isolation related to COVID-19. I had no one to drum with, and I figured others were in the same situation. You’ll find lots of other practice tracks on my KZbin channel.

If I may make a suggestion, perhaps tune the dundunba drum down a bit ... so we can here the melody better ... other that that great job!

Thanks. Will do. Actually, today, I'm going to pick up my main set of duns from my school. It includes an extra large dundunba that sound beautiful. It's been locked up at school all this time.

You know, it might be that I needed to tune up, not down, to make it ring out more, because the ropes were almost loose. It couldn't go much lower. Today, I got my main dundunba back after months, and I tuned it differently than I usually do. I tuned it much higher, while listening and comparing to certain recordings, and I think it's a bit closer. Listen to the updated recording of Djole. What do you think? Better?
