Hi Ana, I found you literally a week ago and have binged your videos nonstop! I've had a thousand book ideas in my head for YEARS now that I've just been to afraid to get on paper. I've never intricately plotted before, and your videos teaching me how to do that have been EVERYTHING. I have one story I've had in my head for three years now that I decided I desperately need to write, and your channel has been helping and encouraging me through that. Im so glad to hear someone say that!! Sometimes people just have character flaws for some reason! Sometimes people just do things that are unethical, or mean, or thoughtless, or perhaps not easily understood- not even to the character himself!

i loooove listening to people talk about their characters! i don’t know exactly why but it’s so interesting to hear someone so excited about their oc’s and their story. i also have way too many characters!! love them all, they’re like my children but still i love to torture them sometimes lol

The name " amen " its just like the Arabian name that have the same pronounce and spell ( it means the the person who always stands by your" right "side . And it's also an adjective that means : who use his right hand) but i didn't know that there is a similar name in English too .

My favorite character to write is usually the love interest, especially if they're male. The love interest in my current project is a prince named Caspian who is abused by his parents, the king and queen (love to traumatize my characters). I love his character so much because he's always afraid of getting close to people lest they reject or hurt him, but with my main character, Serenity, he's all sunshine and he has the CUTEST nicknames for her that I'm really proud of myself for creating (one example is Serendipity, because she was a stroke of serendipity in his life.)

My favorite character from my work is my mentor character. he's immortal and a few thousand years old but appears as an incredibly handsome young man. he's kind of eccentric doesn't really have a filter and he's so much fun to write. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who obsesses over my characters like they're real people.

They all look identical? What are their genuine flaws? Not the flaws that make them endearing or that are the redult of trauma and that you will justify but, rather, the ones that make them genuinely unlikeable in a given moment. What are their character imperfections that are actually negative, and that really get in their way?
