Double soaking cannot get me outta Bronze... I guess it's just some movie magic in your case... My teams just feed 4v5 and blame it on me for not being there... even if they're 3 levels up

@@onkelpappkov2666 I'd say that I mostly am when needed. I'd even say that Fan in these Bronze games is soaking (being absent from teamfights) a lot more than I am usually. But if we are 3 levels up we cannot keep this advantage with hero kills anyways. Plus, we should be able to afford splitting and doing more things on the map.

@@nuadai This is the opposite of what you want to be doing. The core idea is to kill the core. For that, you need to kill fort and keep. This generally requires serious siege work that can be done by hand or by getting a +1, like a camp or boss or bonus objective. This is what you always want to be doing. Whenever you have the chance, this is the only thing worth pursuing. Go core. The main deterrent from going core is an enemy team threatening to kill you. At disadvantage, you have no chance as they will destroy you. You want to gain advantage so you can destroy them instead. The biggest advantage you can gain is a level / talent advantage as that affects all of your team and boosts your fighting power by a large amount. To gain that advantage, you soak XP and you try to prevent the other team from soaking. Soak leads to advantage which leads to victory in fights which leads to victory in the game. That's the basic idea, there is no other point in soak than to gain the upper hand and win. When a team is behind in XP, their options are limited. They do not win full fights, they cannot contest anything because they will generally lose. They will not make up the XP difference through soak because the other team will soak just as much and maintain the lead. The only way a team can come back is through the underdog mechanic. The underdog mechanic gives teams who are behind a massive kill XP bonus and limits the XP the leading team can gain from kills. This means any even trade is better for the losing team. This means the losing team want to find any kill they can get, at any cost. The only way they can reliably get kills is by fighting at numbers advantage. Be 5, find someone in a bad spot, close the kill, even if you lose two of yours. The way the leading team can prevent this is by grouping and never allowing uneven fights and ambushes. By letting the leading team fight 4v5, you are throwing the game as that is the only way the underdog can come back. Numbers advantage beats level advantage. When you have advantage, look for full teamfights and make your advantage count as you turn it into value. Get a camp or boss or DK and push to their core. If you don't, your advantage just goes away without being turned into value and you are back on even footing. You only have limited chances before the other team decides to go core, so try to limit your throws to a minimum. Many games go exactly like that. One team is favored but they don't want to end. They want to stack or chill. Then they lose when the other team just goes core. So go core when you can. Everytime you don't, you let your advantage pass by, that's another chance for them to win over you. Like a boxer not knocking out the other guy until the other guy gets lucky. Go core. 3 levels means you just go core and win.

@@nuadai No, I mean midgame. Any chance you get, try to gain value towards core. Get a fort, invade a camp, race the Immortal. Most of the time, those things aren't as easy because if you invade their boss, they can defend it, wipe your team, take boss and go core themselves. So it's better to do your own boss or even leave it alone and do a siege camp instead. But when you have massive advantage (3 levels up, heroic advantage, numbers advantage after kill), you want to abuse that power. Getting to +3 levels is fantastic and means the other team is probably slacking or you're owning them already. No use soaking except when it's 19-16. Go wherever you want with your team and take anything you choose. If they resist, kill them and snowball. Only soak when you can gain more advantage from it. But at +3 levels, there is no more advantage that can be gained. You already have all of it. Instead, you are only increasing the underdog multiplier: 4 instead of 3 levels means another 8% power but you gain no XP from kills and they gain +100%. But being with your team adds a 5th hero, which is far more powerful than the vague stat bonus. Be with team by default. You split because it is the most effective way of gaining value everywhere at once. You gain the most XP when you cover 3 lanes and do 2 camps at once. But it is risky because the other team is trying to sabotage your efforts. If 3 of them invade your solo camper on bruisers, they kill him and steal the camp, then snowball value. That is why you want to either be together (strong) or careful. An offlaner should try not to be ganked. But at +3 levels, you don't play careful and shy. You go as 5 and win.
