I used to be an illidan unending hatred main generally but inmolation is more decent than what you expect Extra auto attack damage sounds sweet but once you realize in most comps you are not going to connect enough auto attacks on enemy heroes and that illidan is nice for camps and soaking more than fighting in most matches inmolation gets some good value early Also new changes made inmolation de cloak a little better i think

I think even without Immolation Illidan has enough PvE power and dps to heroes in early game to compete with most other solo laners. Unending Hatred makes Illidan A LOT stronger in late teamfights. If you have higher chance to win tf post 20, you have higher chance to win the game.

The only scenario where Immolation becomes good is 2 lane maps, because you can't double soak to complete the quest fast enough. But there are only 3 maps with 2 lanes in ranked mm, while 9 other maps have 3 lanes. This means Immolation is very situational talent and it's overall worse than Unending Hatred.

I think the immolation (and all burning rage talents which don't specify so for that matterr) don't heal because they are considered secondary damage, similar to %HP damage.
