Do tifi and tigason also work? tifi = pitit fi tigason = pitit gason

Yes, you can also say 'mwen gen yon tifi or tigason' when trying to say I have a girl or a boy. By adding the word 'gen which is short for genyen which means to have, people automatically know you have a boy or a girl. You can say 'mwen gen yon pitit fi or mwen gen yon pitit gason' to say you have a son or a daughter. So the terms tifi and tigason alone mean little girl(s) or little boy(s). However, once you say pitit gason, you add the word pitit, it means son or daughter. The word pitit means child. So pitit fi means someone's child who is also a girl so daughter. Pitit gason means someone's child who is also a boy which is son. Does that make sense?
