French translation of the introductory commentary Après un album Piano Classics consacré aux sonates pour piano de Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel, Gaia Sokoli aborde ce qui est peut-être son travail pour piano le plus personnel. Elle associe le cycle de Das Jahr à trois Charakterstücke de 1846, jamais enregistrés auparavant. La forme de Das Jahr - 12 pièces de caractère, chacune dédiée à un mois de l’année, se terminant par un postlude - est une nouveauté, suivie plus tard par Les Saisons de Tchaïkovski.

I don't like a lot the tempi....for me the most beautiful performance is that of Anna Shelest on youtube that she offered during the covid ....and in second position always with Anna Shelest the cd she recently did ....here there are good things but it is also a little bit heavy as atmosphere....it is not my prefered interpreation but the pianist has also beautiful colours .... And..but how many versions does it exist of das Jahr ?? Here June is different of that i listened to with others pianist ....strange ...and october too ....But generally speaking it lacks of brio, for me...

Take a close look to this clickbait or previous releases where they scraped together anything female from their archive. Arts should never be politicised but it happens before your eyes.
