9ine also has the issue that they have 2 maps they would like to perma ban if they could. They currently don't play Inferno (tried to change that up in blast paris legend stage but it didn't work), and they still have a LAN losing streak on Anubis. They can play well in bo1, but also have a map veto disadvantage in bo3s

4:40 I don’t believe for a second that kyxsan or siuhe would’ve had enough prestige and maturity to reign in the likes of NiKo, hunter and jks, and maybe even monesy. If you are trying to find IGLs in the market but see that no one suits the team better, doesn’t it mean that you already have a more suitable IGL? Of course one might argue that if karrigan and snappi were available, G2 should’ve snatched one of them immediately, but I’m personally not too sold on that either. Honestly, this is why I would take zywoo over s1mple in a fantasy draft, because he keeps the mojo of the team positive, hooxi is probably doing the same and being the oldest person in the team does help slightly with prestige. Everyone who is asking G2 to drop hooxi is probably wanting the return of NiKo from Faze times

s1mple: for me, he plays good even in major finals because he's arrogant and full of confidence. However, he's not in his prime right now. He looks tired and in some sort of burn-out since the war. ZywOo: probably the "cleanest" player. Almost no flicks, just good game sense and crosshair placement. Also probably the best attitude for a player of his caliber. If you make a team full of super stars, he would accept to take on a support role for the sake of the team. m0NESY: He's young, flashy, I think his main weakness is that he's not that good with rifles, while zywoo and simple are equally good with awps and rifles. Still one of the best aim/flick in the game.

@@hiimroo3120 I disagree. I actually think HooXi is a bad player (Tier S). Maybe the worst player to have ever won Katowice or Cologne, and certainly the worst player to have won these two events in the same calendar year!? But that makes his accomplishment even more impressive in my mind. We have to remember that since 2016, G2 have won six S Tier tournaments. Three of those have been with HooXi at the helm, within the last year. He may not be a good player, but he must be one hell of a captain. Of course, the fire power around HooXi is ridiculous, but even the likes of Nico, huNter, mONESY and jks, needs to be comfortable to perform with confidence. HooXi may not be a good player, but when he is not afraid, somehow his team mates becomes the best versions of themselves. Be not afraid ;-) (and yes, karrigan and Snappi most probably also could achieve great things with this line up, no doubt)

I don't fully agree with Hooxi being that selfless player dropping guns mentioned by CYPHER at 11:05. I was baffled when G2 had a bad full buy where NiKo was stuck on a Galil while Hooxi held an AK. Check out G2's Anubis T side vs Ence for instance. It happened on the T side of Nuke too (vs Ence)

Yes b0rup, a player who has only been on Astralis for 45 days and helped Astralis make their biggest accomplishment this year (yes, they always make it to the semis of cologne for some reason, but it’s still a huge accomplishment especially if we mention the teams that they had to beat in order to get there) by being a selfless player who plays all of the horrible roles/positions (which has also helped buzz perform better as seen at cologne against Navi and Heroic), should just get kicked immediately without being given any time to make progress (I made this comment before this video premiered, so I’m just predicting what’s gonna be said at that segment). Not to mention, cologne 2023 is the biggest tournament he has ever played at in his entire career and Astralis are still trying to figure everything out. You can’t just say something like this after just 2 tournaments, especially since astralis had good runs at both events. He’s not always gonna pull off star performances in his roles/positions and not everything is about stats. Edit: Expected take from Mauisnake, who I believe is a full-fleshed hltv user.

Buzz only had a few of truly good performances closer to the end of Astralis' run at Cologne. b0RUP averaged at 0.88 rating, 0.84 impact & 63 ADR in total, which are abysmal numbers for a player that's not an IGL, even if his focus is on doing the "dirty job".

How MAUI is an analyst baffles me. He very rarely has a good take, but tries to say something outrageous to hog the limelight. He personally targets players. He did it with Nafany, and when he is done with him, he started with ZYWOOOO. Most of the time he says stupid generic and cliched things on the desk. Most of his hot takes and analyses are wrong. On the desk he would say one thing and almost always the opposite will happen in the game. He tries to be edgy like Thorin but does not have the wit or humour to be good. Guardian was comfortably a top 3 awper in that era, and delivered versus his peers Dev1ce and s1mple, while his team was relevant. (Monesy has a higher absolute HLTV rank, but notice that he is the 4th best awper- worse than Guardian) [Guardian > Monesy] 2. Obviously [Karrigan > Hooxi] 3. G2 NIKo is superior because his impact as an entry dominates his impotent lurking style on FaZe. [NiKo < NiKo] 4. After name value, Olof brought absolutely nothing to that team. [Olof < jks] 5. Rain's best moments were on the roster prior but he still had some meaty and reliable impact. [Rain >= Hunter]
