Fans Are Upset At The Changed Styling For ZEROBASEONE’s Ricky.
Ricky has always been loved for his princely looks. Compared to many others, his facial features are more prominent. From his sharp jaw, high nose and brow bone, to his thick double eyelids, all of these help make him look like the flower boy visual that he is.
With the group’s second release, fans began noticing that Ricky’s makeup was getting thicker. From heavily contoured features to thick eye makeup, he looked even more sculpted.
Many were not fans of the newly slanted eyebrows and colored lens.
Although the flashy look suits the group’s darker comeback concept, fans missed the old styling.
Many believed that less was more for the star.

most of his heavy makeup looks were for award shows which makes sense because they're special events with red carpets. otherwise he mostly just continued to use color contacts and his usual makeup. he looks damn good with heavy makeup or not and I honestly prefer him trying new things.

Ive seen from somewhere that its a speacial styling of makeup known as Douyin makeup? Its a make up style that makes you look more like a chinese doll. It is supposed to be heavy with prominent eye colouring and style. I personally loved jt on him (it brings our his features very well) but from ehat i know its not something that's used everyday? Some of these “fans” need to stop complaining abt things that aren’t a big deal - he likes the makeup and possibly even does some of it himself and I think it looks good on him as do lots of others - also there are more important things to be focusing on like the way zb1 r being treated by managers and even fans themselves (literally all have received hate by solo stans and most recently it has been hanbin with the truck that was sent because he’s “favourite” which wouldn’t be his fault either way and gyuvin who has had fans on his live saying stuff that he’s not happy abt which has resulted in him losing confidence in himself so much that he has tried reading a book to try to love himself again) - this is not to promote hate to any members but to remind ppl that they don’t need to make unnecessary comments and make sure to show that they don’t need to change anything for others to like them more - pls send nice messages on bubble and mnet+

Okay, I love both style concepts they both suit Ricky beautifully HOWEVER, I do prefer the "less is more" look for Ricky, while both look great Ricky already has such prominent and sharp features that the less makeup and patterns he wears the more it compliments his natural look, but the heavier makeup and darker clothes also enhances his looks it just takes away from certain aspects he already has. This does not mean I dislike either of them. I bias Ricky and I personally love both of them. But if you were to think in depth these could be the reasons someone likes one more than the other.
