Hilarious no one is asking for Rapports autograph or photo. He's an amazing GM. I know i would be. Im happy to have met Gukesh during the candidates. Hes blown up even more now.

Maybe bcz there are more of kids there and every kid choose idol of their generation. Magnus became fav of Gukesh when he watched his wcc in 2013. Tania even said today that in Olympiad on some days, Gukesh was getting more mobbed than Magnus so it's all about generational shift. Kids will like more of the barely adult ones bcz although Rapport is 25 or 26 but he has been playing for many years and he has played more with Magnus than with Gukesh.

@Phoenix.219 although you prove a point, it doesn't really have to do with the fact only the contendors are only getting the attention... it's just funny Ding and Gukesh get mobbed for autographs and photos.. but little do people there know they can add another autograph to their chess boards from a very strong GM..
