Well the ones actually dating in thr group are Hao and Hanbin. i hope i do not get too much hate for this but... are not idols responsible for this to some degree? Why on Earth had Gyuvin to give any explanation or even answer? Idols are always sort of giving wings to those unhinged delusions of fans... it is like playing with fire, idols encourage these parasocial relationships with their constant interactions with fans, not setting clear boundaries, and giving expectations to potentially dangerous mentally unstable people. The whole fandom phenomenon will always attract people with obsessive behaviour by nature and even more so if you engage in ambiguous narratives. PD: i am not by any means trying to blame this on Gyuvins or idols in general... I am just trying to say that I THINK idols should try to find ways to distance themselves from fans while still being polite. They should be taught how to recognise and deal with potentially problematic behaviour and they should remind themselves that they are artists and not slaves of their companies and the fans. And i wish they were allowed and encouraged to say NO, I AM NOT ENGAGING WITH THIS CRAP. However, when I see first class, older idols who at this point of their careers could do whatever the f they want but they are still doing embarrassing fan service, I do not see any positive changes happening anytime soon.

i agree with you to an extent. i dont believe that every idol is obligated to flirt with their fans or form some sort of weird connection with them to the extent that many of them do. so some of them are definitely partially responsible for such abnormal behavior. But at the same time, these fans can be really scary and do terrible shit if they're mad, so in response, the idol can get scared or forced by their company to make some statement encouraging them to continue being delusional so i dont think it's entirely their fault. but ive been questioning that too recently because I know there are definitely some idols out there that are doing more than they need to and should do 😭

It may also be loneliness, causing them to seek for attention and validation. Everyday kpop "fans" give me another reason to hate kpop. There is never a day where idols can just breathe without backlash. All I want is for my idols to live freely and happily. I want them to want to perform for a long time and the best way to ensure that is by making this industry significantly less toxic and suffocating. Haechan is probably my favorite person on the planet rn and I want nothing more than for that man to achieve his dream of getting married and having a family someday.
