just ticked this guy off of my "must-haves" list, and i was pleasantly surprised to find that it does have the smallest bit of downward movement on the head. the head itself, inside the box, can actually look down a few millimeters. its not much, and should be a lot more, but for photos and stuff it really really does help, he looks a lot more imposing. speaking on that, this guy has some sort of energy about him that's just unbeatable. if you get the angle right for a photo, he looks absolutely humungous, and towers over most other FT decepticons. easily stole a spot in my top 3 favorite figures, which is now him, FT quietus, and FT mindwipe. my decepticon team is lookin fantastic, thanks to fanstoys.

Considering the back pack is pretty much 90% of the trailer, I think it looks fantastic. I like that the trailer IS included in the transformation and not a seperate part.

The only reason I got this figure was because I was so impressed with the engineering of the backpack/trailer and feet/cab. I don't feel a huge desire to complete Menasor, so if it weren't for that engineering witchcraft I probably never would've gotten it, and God damn, I'm glad I did.

I fully agree, it has pretty amazing engineering to make the whole trailer part of the robot mode, but I think i prefer the way X-Transbots are going with using only the cab and having the trailer contain the parts-forming parts for combined mode

Tbh, the backpack is very clean, considering they literally involve the cab as part of the transformation. Great job on their part. Also, great job for them actually putting "mass shifting" in effect.

I've never understood the parts forming hate. A solid trailer that could carry other mp cars would have been a nice touch, and looked tons better imo, not to mention an easier transformation. Admittedly, i think there was some pretty clever engineering involved to make this guy work. Clean transformation segment, my fingers hurt just watching :^)

The amazing engineering is the reason people prefer not to have partforming whenever possible. For me its like a "WOAH, they actually figured out how to make it look toon accurate AND not just make it a build-a-bot". I mean, the only thing worse than unnecessary partsforming is shellforming IMO.

The less there is of parts forming the more elegant the figure. It feels like cheating or Lego/duplo not a transformer with too much parts forming. But any figure that takes an experienced hand more than 15 mins to transform loses my interest and feels more like work than play. For those who like to spend an hour fixing a model up this is the it, but this feels more a fix up model than a toy.

First off, fantastic review. I love this figure and you did excellent sir. Second, you only missed on part of the transformation. There is a chrome bit that folds out in the trailer halves from the leg that fills the little rectangle hole about a pinky width distance from the front of the trailer. It will hold that all together better. The figure looks great but not sure how I feel about the trailer riding higher at the back than at the front where it meets the truck. And lastly, I can't imagine Motormaster looking beneath him to even consider someone being there. So no need for looking down. Lol

Been searching around to find a combiner I want to get, and been watching a lot of your videos again recently. And really the Stunticons weren't on my radar that much (was really looking at the Zeta offerings), but after seeing this video, and just seeing him standing there in the beginning. It definitely sold me on this figure and the team. But I'm tempted to not even combine them when they all get out because this is easily, to me, the best of the three Motormasters (XTB, DX9, FT).

Excellent review. The gray paint breaks on the trailer are both toon and toy accurate. I know it's still kind of ugly but it's one of those things where they can't win as you say.

Great review. Having him transform into the trailer helped make my decision to buy this even though I'm all in on X-Transbots. Its a nice homage to the original toy, which the Menasor mode will also emulate.

Comin at ya from the UK!!!! I purchased Road King a month ago, great figure. Personally, im happy that the trailer is self contained, makes it unique and the engineering is done really well whilst adding to Motormasters size. That is a badass diorama, dude. Amazing stuff. In the first half-second it was onscreen, I legit thought you just showed a pic of the figure CGI'd over a detailed cartoon-like highway. I think when they can make it clean up fine, self-contained is fine; I respect the hell out of it when they can do it right, like DX9 Carry. Just ordered this knowing that if I'm happy with the XTB Menasor, I can easily sell it (because FansToys).

Amazing figure from Fans Toys. I've watched every video on RoadKing so far and it seems all the reviewers are forgetting to flip the little silver piece near the front side of the trailer to stabilize it. I don't comment often but this figure looks so good and deserves praise for the challenging engineering feat pulled off by Fans Toys. Waiting for mine in the mail. Great video as always Bobby. I do agree with you that it would have been easier and probably better to do the trailer as a separate piece. I dont have a problem with the back pack. It folds up beautifully. If I wasn't so committed to the Xtransbots Stunticons set. This is the way I would go. Thank you for giving us a look at this amazing piece.

It took me about 15-20 mins to get this into alt mode taking it slow the first time, but once it’s done it’s rock solid. It then took about 5 mins max to get back to robot mode. It’s really not that bad once you know what you need to do and what the best order is, if you follow the instructions there is a point about halfway through when it is a complete mess on the table or your lap. Excellent figure overall for me.

This is a beautiful TF, Fans Toys did an excellent job and I'm glad they opted for a bigger scale because Menasor will be huge, which is great and the Stunticons seem to be in scale with each other so you can display them separately. I so need to buy this TF, I'm not a big Stunticons fan but I love good Transforming action figures. Thanks for the review Bobby.

Just got mine and he's awesome 2 things he can look down slightly by just moving the head and not the box and the transformation joint in the shoulders gives you a nice looking reverse butterfly joint my only criticism is the heels I would have liked them to be more stable minor other than I'm loving it my only question mark is combined mode. Hell yeah! That makes me super excited for X-Transbots' Motormaster/Gravestone when that finally comes out! Still waiting NOT SO patiently for Dead End/Deathwish (who's LATE). Motormaster was my favorite character when i was a kid. I CAN'T WAIT. It's really interesting to see how Fans Toys incorporated the trailer into theirs. I'm willing to bet that with X-Transbots' version, Motormaster will just be the cab.

Great review. I agree with you 100%. He looks great in robot mode. Backpack doesn't bother me at all. But that trailer should've been a separate piece. What it's intriguing to me is how are they going to pull the combiner mode off. And how all that paneling for the trailer is going to affect the combiner mode, if at all. Otherwise... amazing engineering. Can't wait to get mine. I'm getting both, the XTB and the FB sets. Still don't know which set will end up in combine mode.

So I saw this guy was selling out, and I couldn't take the risk of not having this set ready when the last bot drops. He arrived today and he's AMAZING. As much as I like Saltus, this guy is in the running for MP of the year. I love the added details & ALL the clear plastic accents, it really is beautiful. But, some important things to note, the backpack is MINIMAL and although the outline in Bot mode is darker than the promo shots, it is just fine in person, a shade or two lighter would be great, but it's another non-issue. Overall this is a solid 9 / 10.

Both the G1 toys and toon Motormaster transformed with his trailer as part of his body. So Fans Toys did it accurately there. I agree that the backpack in a non-issue. I really like this release. Not perfect, but excellent. I've grown to really like this Fans Toys Motormaster. I'm in for the XTB, but I think I'll dip into this as well. Menasor is my 2nd favorite Decepticon combiner after Devastator.

I made my first attempt at transforming this on 01/30/2024. I made my second attempt this morning on 02/02/2024. My second attempt made me decide to just keep the Fanstoys in bot form, and get the X-transbots one as a second Motormaster that I keep in vehicle form. I get the feeling I may also end up having to buy the DX-9 one to get the combined Menasor. 🤣

Solid review! I have been holding off on all the Menasors, but this guys looks great and I would be happy with him simply for Bot and Alt mode. I love Zeta but dislike their bot modes. If Fans Toys can nail the combined mode they will be the combiner champs.

Listen up everybody I just found out from my sources over at eBay that fanstoys is currently in the process of being sued by Hasbro. Subsequently, fanstoys May conveniently not be able to complete the stunticons and aerialbots combiners. I find that this is extremely convenient as they are just about to release the final figures to complete these sets. Therefore, I have deduced that Hasbro is working in conjunction with fans toys as both companies are criminally accountable. Fanstoys never had the intention nor the engineering capability to pull off these combiners. Furthermore, during transformation of all of them I have not seen any indication were there are any hidden ports where these might combine. I am sorely disappointed with fans toys and I am especially disgusted with Hasbro.

I think the thing with the trailer feeling off is, I thought he was a double trailer not a single one like Prime, maybe Im wrong on that. Im not against or for parts forming, Im for what every makes the piece come to life and work well for us the collectors. I'm impressed with the engineering on this, however to use the trailer like a trailer, it probably should have been a parts forming to put other stunticons inside as it seems the trailer is filled with Motormaster's upper torso and head, if that is a thing for some. Mine is coming in hopefully this week and I wonder when we will see the preorders for the rest and what combined mode will actually be like. Great review man

Good stuff, Ive seen em b4 but didnt care, now seeing all it can do as truck and bot I can say its a masterpiece. Wish the panels were better at hiding the separation and the front tires had a swivel to rotate for the illusion, the trailer not being detachable I dont mind it but maybe cuz Im not transforming it...guess an MP Magnus touch where the option to do separate parts would of worked great here. Ill have to check the other team members, hopefully this becomes a good combiner.

I'm not in on fanstoys Stunticons anyway but glad for everyone who is, he looks good seems very clean& functional, structurally seems sound he looks very bland on TV but I'm guessing that he doesn't in person. Good 4u Skully but honestly we all knew that you were going to love it and be astonished by the motormaster from your favorite company. You are a fanboy for fanstoys and that's okay, I am shocked that they got him not silverbolt out so quickly, I would have liked to have seen him at the two conventions so far, why'd they not show him?

Great review as per usual sir, iv watched Paiks and RFC reviews, and am looking forward to getting this guy, and I’m in on their aerialbots to. For me I don’t have an issue with the backpack as it is an all in on bot but agree that having the trailer as a separate piece would have been better. On a side note, there is a small silver piece that you missed that unfolds and fills in a small gap on the side panel of the trailer, underneath the purple panelling. Also not sure you showed there is a diecast clip that rotates around on the back of the tractor that holds both sections of the back of the tractor together. Apparently FT have confirmed that combiner pieces will come with the limb bots aswell. Look forward to seeing this come together.

Hey Bobby for final cut pro transitions check out Luca's Impackt they are free to try and a little less harsh and distracting than the one you use but still interesting.
