Bobby Skullface L I've had mine a few weeks now and have only just transformed it. I'm just as blown away by the Alt mode. Possibly more so. Regarding the clips at the knee/hip a better solution is to either dissemble the thigh and sand the slots or, if you're comfortable with it leave them whole and trim the appropriate face of the slot. I trimmed mine and the pop in and out all day long with no trouble at all. Better by far than taking g the chrome off the clips. Great video and thanks for in spring me to take Soar off display and transform him.

No worries man. I was suggesting t2's suggestion of doing just what you mentioned and filing the grey/diver ports. And yes the alt mode is really breathtaking. Just gives you exactly what you want. Glad you enjoy him as much as I do.

Bobby Skullface L fans toys has really hit it out of the park with these Dinos so far, it was delayed a few times if I am not mistaken, which reminds me, the Apollyon will be delayed until late February, early March if I am not mistaken, which is good because they are not rushing it which means they are focusing on quality control, hopefully.

If the pics of Snarl wowed me I would catch up with Scoria, who also doesn't blows away. Messed with him and just something feels off. This guy has blown me away, and I still may get him and be careful with his shortcomings. Snarl in Dino mode had strange looking leg proportions, and being my fave Dino, I cannot go with something that does not completely satisfy. Swoop is my second fave, so they almost had me for the whole set. I'd have to get their Grimmy as I never want mine doing his best Paul Stanley impression on my shelf. Good insight man, as always.

Honest assessments are the best no matter badly you like something. Fans toys should hire you to test before they put things out. That way they can get the official solid unit.

I take your Ruth Chris analogy to heart. I have been to that place one time.. I ordered the Lobster and Steak. My lobster had a few tiny pieces of shell in the part that whomever prepared it cut it open. This ruined my entire experience, which is a shame as it should be a step above the rest.

I knew this guy would be this good since the test shots. I agree the leg piece was in the test shot & should've been fixed. By test shot they meant preview I guess. The tight joints are fine w/ me. If it grinds it would wear down inside & just get looser, to normal standards. I don't see mine becoming floppy ever. But I guess they couldve hit the bird with sum lube. Yea! Pretty fair review. I love stands as well. I'm most impressed by the bird head articulation & the fact that they gave us a waist even though he's getting beak blocked. Just little touches not even mp would've added. I dint realize kfc used ball joints for articulated hands, sounds like a nightmare. No wonder u don't like them. My thing with hands is I want that mp tab method gone. I like maketoys giants slide system for the hands. Or a tab in the back of the hand makes more sense.

Glad to see your chrome thigh bits didn't break. and it's a bit of a wonder they don't account for the chrome layer. Scoria had the same problem with the sword handle. But tight hands make it work so... ok I guess. By no means a deal breaker but at $200.. need I say more? I really hope that Snarl and Sludge let alone their Grimlock nail it next time, and I have a feeling they will.

I got a replacement piece for that thigh tab.....how do u knock that pin out that holds it in?

See if you can find a tool to put on top of the pin and gently strike the tool knocking the pin out of the opposite side. Be careful and good luck!

Got mine from a place in Tampa...was gonna get the Soul of Chogokin Voltron or Gobots Puzzler,but got Soar. There was also a Terminus Giganticus on display. Whew wee hes big and heavy. Hopefully my Soar holds up

this and their sludge are the best for me, scoria still holds up for me, snarl is always good, and grinder? damn i wanted it to be painted like their galvatron but theres only chrome and some paint apps, bummer i might go for the X version

cool review Booby, i'm loving Soar he's a great figure, looks awesome. like ya say nail them few little things and these will become the premium no.1 company for Transformers. i pushed those gold tabs on the top his thighs all the way in when i got him, OMG what a mistake that was they took me about 45 mins to get out without breaking them. i looked like King Kong wrestling with that Dinosaur lol. but i'm so looking forward to getting the rest of these.

The piece on the dino legs on mine broke. Those pieces are too flimsy. And it broke on its own weight. They should send replacements for both colors on their not Grimlock. Or maybe some sort of fix like the gap on Sever. I got the red version. But I'm liking this piece too. Great review as always.

Another good review. My arms squeak too altho my hips dont. Those damn thigh clips are the biggest mess up on the whole fig. They should have just made the upper and lower separate pieces !!!

That's some fiddly leg transformation... the toy ends up looking great in both modes though, and at least it doesn't use fake pteranodon legs like the other not-Swoop (I don't remember who makes it.) I noticed it has a hole in the back in robot mode... does it work for the stand?

They're not really fiddly they're just SUPER tight so it can make it challenging. No, but you can plug the sword back there. Forgot to mention that.

I think Fanstoys should issue replacement tabs on the thighs that fit better or die cast or etc etc. Then i believe their fan base will stay where its at, the top! I have two of these and 1 is absolutely perfect. The tabs clipped in just fine and his joint are tight but not scary. The other tried to wrestle me a bit but he felt my wrath and gave in but still all good and perfect. I mean...whats some tight joints and weenie tabs when a 10 is right infront of you? Im on the Fanstoys bus...whos with me??!! :)

With FT-06 Sever having originally been released in a duller, more basic colour/paint scheme than previous FT Dinobots, and then another, somewhat more expensive version is now available for preorder (FT-06X) that is in keeping with the previous paint/colour schemes of Scoria and Soar, I am somewhat concerned that Fanstoys does not really have the fans interests at heart... I would have liked Soar, but don't like all the issues with him, so additionally given the high price I think it's a pass for me. I think the quality of this is not good. I don't understand the high praise this guy gets, or Fanstoys in general. I have bought much better TF products from other companies (Takara, Badcube). IMO a grade-A product doesn't have so many issues, including an easy potential for breakage. I don't understand how you can describe this item as 'quality', but thanks for the review.

Yea and as I say the breaking thing is unforgivable. But you really have to hold and manipulate him to understand what I mean. The quality in materials is by and large superior to badcube. And I say this having bad cube products and appreciating their products.
