I always thought that IDMTH onwards gave my Bright Eyes vibes. It’s hard to explain though. It’s the ability of Connor Oberst and QUAAAAAD not being a traditionally ‘good’ singer but delivering in such a way that is messy and emotive

IDK why he keeps comparing him to Bright Eyes. I listened to a whole Bright Eyes album after he said that about the first pack and I didn't see the resemblance... If anyone has any suggestions of specific songs that sound similar to Quadeca by Bright Eyes then please reply to this comment with them, thank you :)

i think the most comparable bright eyes album to what quadeca's making recently is digital ash in a digital urn, but also certain songs from lifted and fevers & mirrors. there's a loosey bright eyes song called "i will be grateful for this day" that new quad reminds me of in moments, too. overall, i think it's the vocal delivery and mood of early bright eyes people are pointing to.
