People acting surprised that he didn't talk smack on Kanye when dude has actually given Ye alot of praise over the years, He's openly stated he loves Kanye's first 3 albums, That TCD is a 10 and one of the greatest albums of all time, He's given tons of praise to TLOP and Ye, And he gave KSG a 10 as well. Not only has Ye been acting a fool past few years but his music quality has fallen off quite a bit, Donda & Vultures were ok but sound so bland and boring compared to some of his earlier work which still manages to sound fresh to this day.

The issue isn't really that tbh and I'm not just speaking on the Kanye situation. For a couple years or so, Melon has become increasingly politically charged and he, at times, lets that COMPLETELY cloud his judgement and acts very immaturely and biased. It's come to a point where it's simply annoying and obnoxious. If you've watched the full reaction to the Vultures album, there's nothing normal about the way Anthony was acting throughout that review. He came with a preconceived mindset to simply hate on the album no matter what and that's apparent. He was legit acting very fake, obnoxious and exaggerating like 3/4 of the video. I know many Kanye fans are stupid and sheep-like btw but the way Melon gatekeeps opinions on his (and many other's) music by saying 'iF yOU LikE tHiS You'rE A moRoN' yada yada is like.... C'mon. He was never like this before and I've been watching him since I was a kid. Anyways, I could go on and on but I know one simply gets called a Kanye 'mEatRideR' or smth else if you criticise Melon even a little.

@@patrick13183and I’m not specifically saying anything about any decade it’s just the point of lack of understanding and knowledge and appreciation that has to go into a GOAT list. I don’t necessarily find say The Beatles to be in my constant plays over other artists but I damn sure would never not put them in a GOAT list. Just the fact that their influence is so large and broad it’s required. It’s beyond just personal tastes.

Take off the bottom two and Freddy Gibbs, scoot the rest down, and put up top It Was Written, Black Star, and It Takes a Nation to Hold Us Back.

This was a very agreeable list tbh so the Ws rlly dont mean that much

No i think it was a pretty unique list with good but unexpected takes, sure an obvious Kenny here and there and some wu-tang and all but how many people actually forego Biggie, Nas, and countless other classics to include newer picks like Rocky and Travis?

@@kkvibe2707 in 2024, a lot... when u think of cloud rap, u think of Asap... when u think of trap, u think of travis. Every album he mentioned was a hip hop twitter classic.

Notable absences from the Golden Era. No Gang-Starr, Tribe, PE, Nas, etc. Still a great list mind.
