I finished this game when it was on apple arcade, and it's definitely an amazing JRPG. To me, it's a true Final Fantasy and just like the experiences of the early day FFs of X and earlier. This is a must play.

@@Pikachu-qr4yb The open and free part is about double or triple the length of the linear part. It's around 15-20 hours for the linear part and 40-50 hours for the open part, totaling 60-70 hours.

@grandpowr Lost Odyssey. The Last Story. Fantasian. All games basically titled Final Fantasty by the two dudes in Sak & Nobuou responsible for FF1 through 9. This is the final actual Final Fantasy game. As great as 10 and 12 are, Lost Odyssey is the true next installment to 9.

I could only play the first hours of this game back then, but it gave me 100% the vibes from classic final fantasy games! I'm so happy it finally comes to ps5! I'm playing ff16 atm and I'm just glad that I didn't pay full price and only bought it 2nd hand, biggest disappointment for me, not even worthy being called a "final fantasy"🙄

Mistwalker is made of Ex-Square devs, and with Sakaguchi at the helm and Uematsu in his last score for a game. We've had it on Apple Arcade for years, and I can tell you with confidence; This is Sakaguchi's FF X in all but name.

I like that SquareEnix is trying things out again/experiment like back in the day. A lot of big companies only seem to stick to their main IP's that always sell. (SE ofc does the same because game dev is expensive, but they do tend to spin things around way more often)

Tbh, it's the only reason besides the classic turn based combat that makes me interested. Amnesia plots are kinda boring; they are always the same. Surprise! You turned out to be a great man that was very involved in the current conflict.

It’s not only nobuo, this was created by the man himself who brought final fantasy to life. Hironobu sakaguchi, with the company he runs. It’s a pretty great game, I’ve played through a good chunk of it on apple arcade. It’s up there with the typical qualities of the old great rpg’s. And yes the music especially is fantastic. Some of nobuo’s best. According to him actually, he thinks it’s the best music he’s ever made.

they really should just straight up shamelessly use the names and titles "The Father of FINAL FANTASY, Hironobu Sakaguchi" and "master composer Nobuo Uematsu" on their marketing materials, front, center and massive. not everyone knows that the og fantasian is from the og ff masters. they should do it in a way that it feels like they are celebrating the two masters and not just promoting a normal game. treat it like a pseudo homecoming(i know its not really a homecoming, but it is the closest we got since mr sakaguchi left). if not as a fiesta type celebration, at the least like a show of respect for the two.

It's a game by the creator of Final Fantasy with music by FF series composer Nobuo Uematsu. This is probably more FF than anything SE has made in idk how long. I played it a few years ago, but my ipad was too weak, battery was always running low, so I couldn't finish it, but everything about this game reminded me of the good old ff days.
