I think that this theme fits the movie perfectly. Especially considering that it takes place in New York. It has the soul of the original song, but with some more overarching and sweeping tones. I find that it fits the U.S. especially considering that it's taking place in the Roaring Twenties, a time for innovation and change and the such. Pretty damn good.

I feel like I'll get a lot of hate for this, but I sort of miss the days when the first HP trailer came out and you got the original John Williams track which had so much nuance and different colors and all those highs and lows and mystery and excitement. This version is kinda cool and sounds all badass blasted out of theater speakers but it just exists to maximize hype. It's just about being as loud as possible.

This was just the trailer music, you're right they want to make people excited for the new film, and to go with the action-filled trailer it has fast, loud music. In the film soundtrack (I recommend buying it) there are different varieties of styles and textures of music, from scores to go along with the action, with the slower scenes, and some pretty nice jazz music to fit in with the era. John Williams's work is phenomenal I couldn't've asked for a better, more memorable score for the franchise. Like +sunyata said (I have no idea how this tagging thing works) the films have matured along with the audience and so therefore yields a more adult soundtrack. Note: this isn't the actual music used for the score or trailer, it is an edited loop of the crescendo of the piece.
