I went thrifting with my daughter on Sunday and we found some great stuff! I tried on this olive green jacket made from the softest leather. I had a 50% off discount so it was $20. I wasn’t going to get it but she said, fine, I’m getting it for you and giving it to you for Christmas. We looked it up, it’s a $1200 euro jacket!! I also found a bespoke tuxedo for my grandson. Wool with silk lining. Looked it up, the company ended in 1960!! It is in perfect shape, fits him like a glove. Cost $4.00. I also found him an Oscar de la Renta blazer, wool, for $5.00. My daughter found a 100% wool Albert Nipon swing coat, fur cuffs and collar (super trendy, but vintage). Not going to lie, we had a shopping cart so full, stuff was falling off the mound 😂. Spent $250 total

To clean really stubborn stains a spot treatment I use is making a paste out of powdered oxi clean and Dawn… wet the stain rub in oxi paste and wait. Another thing I do ….and this is very risky….on small stains on white or white print pieces I use a capful of chlorine bleach and dilute slightly with tap water and use a q tip to try to “remove / lift / erase a stain “ you will see immediately if it works…rinse treated area with water. This can be risky because the bleach can over lighten the area or on prints cause bleeding or removal of prints. Definitely last ditch effort ….otherwise piece would be donated….so if I ruin it I don’t feel like I’m out anything. I’m thinking if your normal stain treatment doesn’t work on the collar of the blazer I would try the q tip….Also I’ve had good luck with retro wash for quilts, linens and vintage items.
