I'm so glad you've uploaded this. I've been curious about these bookend sets. It looks fun to build.

Had some small issues - but all in all a solid build to do. I am going to look into a few more sets similar to this in future. But I have my third JMBricklayer set coming so stay tuned

It definitely has the steam punk look.

Yes - that is what I think as well.. More Steampunk than Western

Wow. This one looks fantastic! So many details and colors. I really like how the train comes off. Bummer that it’s flimsy. Still looks good though! Awesome job 👍🏼

It is a good-looking set for sure. A little fragile in some spots.

Wow, you really have a knack for finding non-LEGO brick building companies. That set looks great. I 100% agree and was saying to myself that it looks more steampunk than western, but personally prefer that over western anyways. It’s unfortunate to heart that it’s not the most stable build…but maybe thats part of the price. Hopefully over time they will work on creating stronger builds. To say this is supposed to be book ends…it’s super impressive all of the moving parts. I would never have thought that would be a function in a book end. Thanks for sharing these amazing builds with the world!

I've been aware of JM Bricklayer for a few months but have not tried any sets. Recently ventured beyond Lego to try Pantasy (pleased) and especially Funwhole (very pleased) and I'm curious about a handful of other brick building brands (I need to see a bit more on JMB before ordering). I'll stay tuned for alternate brands reviews of pluses/minuses.

Yes Funwhole is excellent and Pantasy are great (Go Bricks being used and 100% compatible with LEGO). CADA is another great one that uses their own bricks and their specialty are super car sets. JMBricklayer has some interesting set designs and the brick quality has been decent. I have a third set from them I will be building soon. Hopefully I get some more sets from other Alternative Brick companies to try out for the channel
