We planned our trip to Alibaug right after watching this video, had really high expectations. But truthfully, food was sub-standard, service was extremely slow and I felt overcharged for the quality and quantity of food. The place is really clean and hygienic and it's a great thing what these women are doing, but don't go here keeping high expectations because it isn't what it seems to be.

How much quantity do you expect sir? Yes I accept we have slow service as all the staff is women. And about quality, we always try to maintain it. We always buy fresh vegetables and fish and chicken

Sorry but we didn't like the food quality. I had called day in advanced for Modak and Puranpoli and confirmed the order but when I went there for lunch they said they have not prepared it due to resource crunch...which is accepted. In plate Surmai, same curry was serve for both fish and prawns curry. I cook myself and can cook better fish curry than what served to us. Fish curry was supposed to be made with dry chilli and not using garam masala except prawns but in plate fish and Prawns curry was made out of garam masala. Only Solcadhi was good in plate. So it was depressing to see such food served by famous joint.
