Great sermon. I'm a 57 y/o guy, twice divorced. Wish these videos would have been available when I was younger. I spend hours a day listening to different ministers on youtube videos about relationships, God's will, and how to be a better person. When I see so much hatred, selfishness, corruption and scandalous behavior, it helps keep me aligned and my eyes on my Lord and Savior Jesus!! It helps me believe there is hope for this country.

So good. I have watched this multiple times and the Holy Spirit teaches me more every time. Here's a summary of his 7 things to look for in a female spouse to help others! 1. Trustworthy 2. Attentive to Family 3. Not Lazy 4. Tender to the needs of others 5. Aesthete- Care about making things pretty 6. Sensible in preparation 7. Yielded to God- Non-Negotiable

I honestly think physical attraction is a gift from God. I can't marry a woman who has all these good qualities but is lacking the physical infatuation. There are many women that have these values but I am not attracted to them. It is not wrong to want to have a wife that you are physically attracted to and is a great gift if you can have that and prolong it in your marriage. This was advice that Jordan Peterson said . I'm not saying physical attraction is the most important but it is worth being on the list.

I am addicted to listening to the messages. I wish I could have heard this earlier in life. But the truth is I am exactly where God wants me. I came across this page I believe because I was lead to hearing this. I am teachable and if it is his will there will be a Mr. do I live for it? No but I do hope. I know there is lots to work on. Praise the lord. Praying for everyone listening. Father God work in our lives and your will not mine.

I don’t think seeking a woman is actually completely biblical in regards to what God wills for our lives. Paul talks about it in Corinthians that if we’re single we shouldn’t seek a wife. And in fact it says in Genesis that God made Eve from Adam and brought Eve to Adam. Adam didn’t seek her out. God made the decision to provide for Adam a helper and that it is good for him to have a companion. Just not of his own accord. (Genesis 2:22, 1 Corinthians 7:25-28) We should seek our Relationship with Jesus instead of another person and allow God to do the rest.

Not true. You omit the "present distress" part of 1 Cor 7:26 and the sexual scandal of 1 Cor 5:1-6 though. Marriage came from God. God designed it. Even with the full presence of God in the Garden pre-fall, it was not good for Adam to be alone..

@@Amoki86 Jesus said in Matthew 19 :11-12 about being single…. 11 ¶ But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given. 12 For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it. Notice Jesus says in vs 19 that some men make themselves eunic (single) for the kingdom of God. For some people singleness is a choice not a command and neither is marriage. Jesus says to some God gives a spouse and to some singleness. Jesus made himself stay single and so did Paul to completely devote themselves to Gods purpose in their life. Paul did say in 1 Corinthians 7:24-29 the following… 24 Brethren, let every man, wherein he is called, therein abide with God. 25 ¶ Now concerning virgins I have no commandment of the Lord: yet I give my judgment, as one that hath obtained mercy of the Lord to be faithful. 26 I suppose therefore that this is good for the present distress, I say, that it is good for a man so to be. 27 Art thou bound unto a wife? seek not to be loosed. Art thou loosed from a wife? seek not a wife. 28 But and if thou marry, thou hast not sinned; and if a virgin marry, she hath not sinned. Nevertheless such shall have trouble in the flesh: but I spare you. 29 ¶ But this I say, brethren, the time is short: it remaineth, that both they that have wives be as though they had none; Paul under the instructions of The Holy Ghost tells us to be content with whatever situation we are in. If you are single do not seek after a wife and don’t seek a divorce if you are. He further advises us that people who are married have a difficult time completely devoting their time and priorities to God but being married is not a sin. Paul advises us too that if we are married we should strive to serve God just as intensely as we would if we were not married so your marriage (spouse) does not become a hindrance to you following Gods calling in your life. Teaching people they are supposed to be married just because of the rise of sexual immorality when they have no desire to marry is just as unbiblical as teaching people they must stay single. Marriage on earth is a choice but every believer is part of Jesus’s bride so we will all be married with Christ eventually and that is the best marriage ever!!

@@rickschneider3887 Jesus was the God-Man who (a) was without sin and (b) had the full empowerment of the Holy Spirit (c) knew clearly that he was to die on the Cross and then to resurrect bodily. Unless you're capable of going for 40 days without food too, best not to pretend that you have the divine body not in the seminal line of Adam even as we are called to comform to the "image of His Son". Paul meanwhile was likely a divorcee or a widower, and would have been married prior as a "Pharisee of Pharisee". To call him "single" is a bit like advertising somthing "like new". Furthermore, v26 clearly marked the "present distress": the authorial intent was either likely referring to the sexual sin happening in 1 Cor 5 OR, all sort of persecutions leading up to the destruction of the temple in 70 AD. Otherwise, all Christians before us would have been celibate. While I am not arguing for full engagement of the passion of the soma (and sarx), one should not also suppress the human need for relationship in intimacy, and try to hide the hard work to gain relational skill via spiritual bypassing. That's a Pietist trick that will not end well. Rather, learn to submit your needs to the Lord, and prepare the horse for battle even as Victory belongs to the Lord (Prov 21:31).

Great overall but I do think it’s important to take into account the family of the person you’re going to marry. You’re also marrying the family when you marry her. Always outlier cases but yeah I do think it matters a lot.

When JP spoke about preparation, I think he missed a deep issue. Being wise about the future means you are actively trusting God with it. Many woman worry all the time. This causes them to exhibit a lack of trust in all aspects of their lives. It is difficult to follow and respect a man if a woman is worrying. If she is worrying, she is not trusting God or the man God gave her.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with desiring a spouse who you’re physically attracted to, so long as physical attraction and beauty isn’t prioritized over godliness and character. While faith should be the foundation on which your marriage is built on, it isn’t everything in the marriage. Just because both of you are believers and passionate about Jesus doesn’t mean you’re right for each other, and just because someone is a man or woman of God doesn’t mean you owe them a relationship or you need to feel bad because you don’t want to date them. You're gonna actually have to live with the person you're marry, and you're probably going to be doing more than just reading the Bible, and praying with them, and doing ministry, so make sure you actually like them. Godliness is crucial and very important, but it isn’t the only thing that matters. I also don’t think that there’s anything wrong with wanting someone who you’re compatible with in the sense of the way you each carry yourselves or interests, so long as it’s not overboard. They don’t need to like everything you like, but marrying someone who you have nothing in common with besides the fact that y’all are both believers may not be the best idea. My thoughts.

I think my future partner probably wouldn't want to have children like me. I mean having children will not be our top priority. It will be about travel.

I was what I believed to be an atheist and I turned away from the Lord for so many years and deep down I knew I should deep down I knew what I was doing was wrong and I felt ashamed. Well this couple past months I found this beautiful woman god bless her soul and we met and we had fun and we messed around...but it wasn’t right she was someone who had full faith and wanted to be serving the lord and I gave up on her I made her sin with me... I broke her wonderful path with God cause I was sinful I knew I wanted to marry her but I didn’t want to be in the temple. So she left and I broke down and was ashamed someone so amazing I let go cause I knew what I was doing was wrong. Today I decided to turn to the Lord to have my full faith in the Lord that I can come back TO THE LORD and repent and be forgiven to be with God once more that my sins can be washed clean and forgiven all because I made a mistake I’m not trusting what was in front of me the entire time. I’m going to be going back to church and praying and learning the Book of Mormon and repenting for my sins but I say unto you anyone that is reading this that it is not to late to turn back to God and Jesus and let them in. I accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior to take me away from this earthy body so I can live with him for all Eternity. I pray to you if you are stuck if you are wanting to come back and you think you’ve gone to far that it’s ok to come back I’m not ashamed to admit my wrong doings anymore I messed up I’m a sinful person but I know Jesus died on that Cross cause he loved us so much he died for our sins. It’s never to late to come back to the Lord he’s always there with us as I’m so blessed to have you all here with me and to love me as i love you. I don’t know your story but I say unto you that we’re all going to make mistakes but we can get back up and try again and do better I believe that We can be forgiven and come back no matter how far we went off the path please just believe that and know that we love you I love you and it’s going to be ok thank you Lord for letting me speak my words to others as they have unto me and I say upon these things in the savior and Lord Jesus Christ Amen

Yknow when it comes to fantasy woman, this maybe the last that I will entertain such but my priority with regards to women are the women I can get along with and I will select a woman I can enter into relationship with, fantasy woman is the woman in a long distance affection as a fantasy relationship with me, and if I can no longer understand her due to changing focus and if I can no longer trust her, I won't entrust myself to her as her husband in the future. She will be just my past time and my mind will be focused on a woman I can have a personal relation with because that's a reality. Though I have to still study her.

I think he’s saying that Christians should be running away from them as dating material, and if we were to witness it should be to someone of the same sex. It’s hard digest what he’s saying, but I think he’s referring to someone who is unsaved and deep in sin. Hope this helps!
