I one made a team of what were supposed to be recurring characters. The PLAN was for the team leader to keep the pressure on as the circle retreated in an airship. I made 3 mistakes: 1: The Team Leader was a little undertuned. 2: I underestimated how much the guy who knew the system better than me hated Dragonblood Exalts. 3: Underestimating how creative he was in combat. (in DND terms, he turned the guy into an immovable Rod and they just... let the ship move out from under him. ) Every NPC antagonist I've fielded after that have had SOME way to fly.
