those of you who are at 31:10 , make sure to add in a deepslate tile block on each corner of the stone blocks, and deepslate tile slabs on top of the rest of the stone blocks.

I had to try this since the cherry blossom update. Near the end there was a step skipped about the roof -- I didn't notice the first time and had to rebuild part of it. But wow, its a great tutorial and you put so much work into it. I added sea lanterns on the exterior, behind the quartz steps and up behind the dark oak fences and the spruce slabs. I also put a few sea lanterns where there were smooth quartz blocks half covered up by full tile blocks, and dropped white carpet on top to help disguise it. This lit up the roof a lot so monsters stopped spawning. And the castle looks awesome at night! Thanks so much!
@ExtraTurtle Жыл бұрын
Just wanna add that after building this in survival, there are a LOT of dark spots in the house. some have spawns in night only, some have spawns in night AND day. so be careful with this. put more carpet areas or (the lazy approach) put some torches.
@MetalPaw5 ай бұрын
You can use the glow lichen on the roof outside to prevent mobs from spawning. I haven't noticed mobs inside my house, other than endermen teleporting in.
@steelebritt2904 Жыл бұрын
just wanna add that with the newer update instead of the looms at 21:37 you can put chiseled book shelves. i built it in survival and it took awhile but I love it! I also changed up some stuff like instead of oak I used spruce because I live in a spruce forest and the closest oak is like 20,000 blocks away but yeah 10/10 would recommend!

@SilkyCrow3 ай бұрын
At 31:21 there is a small missing step for the roof, just be sure before placing your deepslate and smooth quartz to do a row of deepslate tile slabs on the snow blocks behind them so the roof is complete. You can see where he's done it but he forgets to mention that step specifically and it might confuse you. Hope this helps! 😊

@everyone: there are some spawnable spaces on the roof. You might want to put some glowlichen on there. @Cortezerino, I don't know if lighting your roofs is a thing to think of in your future build. (This is not a negative comment, just trying to help). Because you often say that the build is lit up fully. So people might be in for an unpleasant surprise when a creepers falls on their head. Great job with the builds. Just finished part 3, also built the quard house entrance already and the storage building. Truly enjoyed building them. Thank you!

before you make something like this in survival you must be mentally prepared for you to misplace 1 block ,find it later and now have to either destroy what you built from that point on or try to fix it without destroing the rest of the built

Almost done with this beast in me n the boys hardcore world. Did the other buildings and the first four chunk builds. After the castle itself its time to focus on the courtyard grounds and the walls, and then of course extending the slanted stone walls down and terraforming the land around it. Having my buddy focus on the giant pagoda. Building a garden around the pagoda and a trail and japanese bridge leading to it with growing a cherry forest by hand. Been a slog but by God thisll be a nice capitol building for my japanese city.
