I use a 30 inch turntable to rotate my canvas so I don't have to continuously walk around it. When I need to tilt the canvas, I lift it up off the turntable - works great. Of course I haven't done an area as large as you work on. Love your work,

Would quarter inch plywood hold the canvases. It would be much lighter than the 3/4 in. These are just gorgeous. When my canning is done, the ring pour/st pour and the open cup are the ones I will do first and large ones too. Here in Manitoba Canada, I was so depressed when I had to wear socks again this week. I try to last 4 months without them.

Love how this turned out. Try to cut smaller rectangles in the plywood under the canvas area to make it lighter. I’ve been thinking about making something out of 2x2 like a ladder with adjustable ends and clamps of some kind. The 2x2 would come past the canvas and act like handles. Have your husband make one so I can see how it works out. 😂
@MinaVillegasArt5 жыл бұрын
Hi Georgia! We have already been discussing modifications, cutting out large pieces of the back is on the list! Originally I was thinking about clamps, but as my husband pointed out and I quote him "the way you throw that thing around, screws would be better" 😂 I'm glad we had them screwed in tho, otherwise it would have popped off.. I'm sure we will do another diamondback video when its ready 😉 Thanks for watching! 🥰

Mina this is fantastic. There’s definitely continuity at the canvas edges yet each canvas has its own personality. Love it 🥰!!! My thought at the end when you were discussing about modifications is maybe use 1/4” pegboard for the base. It would be lighter and perhaps allow for adjustable clamping for alternative canvas sizes. Clamps could be screwed on from below the peg board and with wing nuts at the top for removal. Never made one but that’s what came to my mind.

Hi Mina....your triptych is amazing...as usual...! I have a solution to your attaching problem and I know this from my brush painting days (which I have not given up completely). Take 2 lengths of 1"x 2" lumber and attach to the length of your 3 canvasses together. If you leave them a little longer than you need, you will have handles to manipulate the painting. I attach them with screws to the back, but finishing nails might work. When the art is dry, you can take the screws out easily. If you need more of a visual, Cathleen at Coz uses a similar concept to place her paintings on when she uses her drip tray. It's an easy install and quite light. Any questions let me know....and thanks for all the tips you show me...
