~ Samarkand, the Jewel of the Silk Road 💎⌛ Samarkand, is a city where history and legend intertwine. Just the name alone makes us think of glittering domes, bustling bazaars, and the hum of distant caravans. For centuries, it stood as a crossroads of empires, where merchants, scholars, and adventurers from China, Persia, India, and Europe converged, trading not just goods but ideas and cultures. It was known for its dazzling blue-tiled mosques and palaces, Samarkand was transformed into a center of art and learning under the rule of Timur, the great conqueror who made it the heart of his empire. Yet, it’s not just its grandeur that makes Samarkand legendary-it’s the sense of mystery that lingers in its winding streets, the whispered stories of treasures hidden, and the echoes of countless lives and civilizations that have passed through its gates. 👑🕌 WORLDBUILDING SUBMISSIONS: We now accept submissions from Writers, DnD players, Roleplayers, DMs, Authors, Game developers, and any other World Builders! If you’d like us to create a soundtrack for your world, please send us the name of your world, town, city, or location, along with a bit about its history or how it fits into a larger story. All submissions will be considered, and we look forward to working with fellow world builders to bring your creations to life. Please send your submissions to fantasymeditations@gmail.com, we can’t wait to explore your worlds! 🧭⚔🌳

It reminds me a bit of the city of Kithamar of the Kithamar Trilogy books, a trading city with heavy Persian and Mesopotamian influences...

Well done on this one, i always been fascinated by Samarkand since my teenage when i encounter the name in age of empire 2 inthe mongol campaign. Even if you are the invader i was not aware of the story, but i liked the map, the city and the city name Samarkand, just by its spell it is mythic. Then i discover passion for middle east and asia, china japan are my goal, but reaching those country via samarkand is a must for me. I love the arabian night, music, desert, and all those architectur from persia. I did write a fiction based on several culture, but i wish one day write a desert fantasy odyssey What a magical city in heart of the earth, middle of the world civilisation and fantasy Thank you for your work😊
