​​⁠it’s a lack of consistency for me. He had the same number of games with over 15.5 points as he did under 5.5. Even discounting two of those games due to injuries (week 7 and 18) it is still concerning that Lamar had his best statistical season, with Andrews having a relatively down year, and Zay being only top 24 when healthy. Maybe I am assuming Lamar will regress too much but it’s hard for me to value him as anything higher than WR20-22. Love y’all’s work though, the flock league this year was great to watch.

Pearsall looked like the niners best WR weapon down the stretch. Had a late season breakout of sorts where he was finally integrated in to the offense. I understand why that would be a nice sell high window, but there is a real possibility that that was a preview of things to come, too. I’m all for selling, but hard pressed to call it a hard sell.

Once again, a phenomenal video breakdown! Followed the exchange all year and won the chip. 1QB/2RB/3WR/1TE/1FLEX. Now I’m defending with a cornerstone core of Mahomes, Gibbs, CD, London, Bowers. I can keep 2 of the following: Baker, JReed, Jalen McMillan, Aaron Jones. What moves should I make? I’m thinking wait to see what happens with Aaron Jones after the draft. I’m not necessarily looking at how consensus ranks Ricky Pearsall but I think you def hold him or buy him. Physical WR in SF offense and they can’t keep the avengers of skill position players around forever, he is the future there. Even if it takes a few years. I drafted him expecting him to be on bench for 2+ seasons. Shanahan will love him for his physicality, he will block as much as necessary & they showed glimpses of using him like Deebo in their last game.

Looking up similar cases (Brandon Echols and Aldrick rosas) 2-4 games for Rashee Rice looks like what it will be. His injury was nowhere as serious as an acl from what I’ve seen. I do have an offer of flowers and 2.04 for him and I’m hesitant to pull the trigger. I have a couple of questions for a small time 1 QBer... I have a stacked RB room with Bijan, Gibbs, Breece, Chase Brown, Henry, and Mixon, then a steep drop off after that. Planning to take Jeanty, Tet, and Hampton this year. Guy at 1.03 is a huge fan of Burden. If you had that RB room, would you be looking to shop Henry or Mixon or Chase Brown, and maybe bet on Breece bouncing back? If so, what are you selling for? My WR and TE room is in a really good spot, but I feel like I could use a guy like Jayden Daniels, in case my Allen got hurt, because all I have behind Allen is Caleb Williams, Stroud, and Russ. I like Penix as a Hard Sell considering I find him to be a Screaming Buy (okay, maybe just a buy; I'm a fan). His age is reason to believe he can be close to a top 15 QB sooner than someone like Young, McCarthy, or even Richardson. Take Jayden Daniels for example: his extensive playing experience has made him look like a pro. Getting some play time this year is a lot better for this organization than another like the Vikings who have already hit the Self Destruct button on the season and basically admitted the Sam Darnold experiment, while fun, was a failure. The Falcons are a bottom 1/3 defense in the NFL by almost every measure, meaning this offense will need to score to stay in games. Bijan: 1,887 yards from scrimmage, 15 TDs. Drake London 1,271 yards, 9 TDs. Even Mooney: 992 yards, 5 TDs. Pitts has yet to be unlocked. Penix went 31st overall in my 2024 Superflex rookie draft; managers might be willing to sell at a soft price. Like you said, they are for sure getting a positive return after taking him in the 2nd round, so they might settle for an early 2nd plus a throw in. I would pay a 1st to have him as my QB3 and see where it goes. His age should not scare you when the number we're talking about is 24. Tom Brady was 24 when he became a starting QB. Penix may have a low rushing floor, but consider these QBs who finished in the top 24 in Fantasy Points Per Game: (Burrow, Mayfield, Goff, Darnold, Purdy, Mahomes, Tua, Geno Smith, Love, Wilson, Rodgers, Carr, Prescott, Lawrence). They finished with an average of 207 rushing yards and 1.7 TDs. Penix had 1 rushing TD on 7 rushing attempts. Penix did have 13 rushing TDs in college. Projecting him for anything more than 100 yards and a couple scores would be hard to do, but I highlight these top 24 QBs as examples of QBs who can score well without needing to rely on a rushing floor. Specifically Burrow, Goff, and Darnold finished QB3, 7, and 9 respectively. That group average 156 rushing yards and 1 TD. That's achievable by Penix. Rushing certainly helps boost any QB, but it's not necessary to be a solid starter in Superflex leagues. Dude has a cannon for an arm. Lastly, in recent history, lefty QBs on the Falcons are pretty good. If I were to buy 3 QBs this offseason, it's Maye, Penix, and Young in that order. Super lastly, SELL TUA. The easiest sell. Every league I am in, some managers are weirdly high on him. That team has been trending down and Tua is STILL a hit away from retirement. Not worth the volatility considering the price you would have to pay versus someone like Maye or Penix, who have far higher long term potential. I find it crazy that you called Tua a safe asset. He is anything but.

58% completion rate & a 3-3 TD int ratio didn't impress me, I don't know what kinda fairy dust he sprinkled y'all with but he was overdrafted and had a solid first few games, let's not get carried away here. He's a fine QB asset, you're happy you drafted him 2.01-2.05 but he's ranked QB15 on KTC over Bryce, JJ, Goff, Dak, Tua, Lawrence and others - that's why he's a sell, he's being drafted/valued near his upper range of outcomes.

@@FantasyStockExchange I knew you’d bring that up lol. Penix had the most drops than QB in the last 3 weeks. He had just 1 week to practice with the starting receivers, he throws the ball with insane velocity, and lefty spin being hard to catch/adjust to is a very real thing. Back to those receiver drops, 2 of them led to interceptions which were not at all on Penix, and the 3rd interception was because his receiver was getting held and then didn’t complete his route in the Washington game (Brian Baldinger has a good video describing this interception). So bringing up his TD to interception ratio is pretty meaningless imo when minimum 2 out of the 3 INTs were not on Penix at all. One full off season of his receivers getting adjusted to his lefty spin and velocity, along with just getting better in general with Zac Robinsons playbook, after what we saw in just his first 3 starts, he does have upside. And you guys like to bring up PFF grades if I’m not mistaken. Well Penix had the 3rd highest season PFF grade out of every Falcon second to only Lindstrom and Bijan. A lot of why I’m hopeful is because of what I see from the eye test and not on the stat sheet, so bringing up 58% completion and 3:3 TD/INT ratio is misleading if you actually watched the games man. That’s why I’m on the Penix train.

@ I'd argue that simply telling us the stats only is quite misleading. I get it - fantasy is a stats game. But to throw context out the window (drops, drops that turn in to INT, etc. when referencing completion %) is very hard for me to digest when the advanced analytics and eye test are saying the complete opposite thing. His PFF grade was 8th of 72 qualified QB's Agree to disagree and I'd love to see how this ages next year!

Tua and Stafford are risky QBs going forward. Cupp is past his prime. Addison and Pickens are fine but then his next best asset is like Troy Franklin or Adam thielen.

Me getting bowers would be a problem for the rest of the league though. I’m already the 2x defending champ now with the youngest roster. Bowers would solve my only real hole. I’m set pretty nicely everywhere else but TE. Had some pretty bad streams when Ferg was out this year and even when he was back he was garbage

I cannot buy Bryce Young at Purdy/Goff/Dak price. Stroud was the Mahomes second coming and now we see he isn’t (yet). This Bryce Young talk is too much wishcasting. He played better at the end of the season, but he wasn’t playing better than 15 QBs out there. Still a bottom half NFL starter. The names you’re talking about are top 12, deserving of a second contract. Young hasn’t proven that. Let’s pump the brakes.

He's also only 23 years old with a first year coach and bad weapons, there's a lot of improvement to be made on his front and he's got a lot of light at the end of the tunnel to do it. Forget those other guys, that's totally cool if you prefer them, I actually have Purdy and Goff ranked ahead and Dak ranked right behind just due to age. But Bryce's prospect profile, now combined with this 2nd half of the season & the confidence they've shown in him as the starter is worth celebrating.

Disagree, I think everyone's too low on him - his ability is so underrated WR gurus like Matt Harmon and Steve Smith Sr. sing his praises constantly and I have a dude as a 2nd year WR who was a top 24 scorer in his healthy games tethered to one of the best QBs on the planet, I'm honestly surprised everyone isn't ecstatic about him

Bowers will produce less in 2025 and beyond IMO(the LaPorta effect)….im selling for a Haul Ofcourse, not just to sell…. We have short memories but LaPorta had 99% of the same steam and momentum last year

He did but a lot less volume in the offense, a proven stud first team all pro WR to compete for targets with and Jamo + the RBs Plus Bowers surpassed what Laporta did as a rookie by like week 13 yardage/catches wise
