I’m gonna do that bit rate test. When I try mine for some reason it decided to say overloaded but I didn’t think on trying the changing part thank you for this video gave me an idea on what to do for it

oh my goodness! i tested it a couple of times and the video looks great as well as my silly laptop mic, the only thing i had to do was turn down my in game sound a little bit so it didn't completely overpower me. I plan on recording my Current Household video tomorrow!

Thank you for your help! I just updated my computer tonight and I tried running on 6000 bitrate and it wasn't as "seemless" as I would have liked, so I also tried 8000 and it's perfect.

Thank you! Also for windows users, you can use your iPhone earphones as a mic! (Only the earphones that come with a mic) OBS is the only software that recognises the earphones as a mic! :)

If you don't want any noise, at the bottom in the middle there's a bar that says "Mic/Aux" or something like that, below it there is a icon that has like a speaker thing, click that and it cancels noises! but im sorry if u you just mean background noise!

Horatio Try taking of game capture. It will record if you have display capture. Also you can try messing around with the setting so that it hopefully works.

I found some videos online but,click sources and if you want to record your desktop as well as websites etc. click display capture. If you want to record video games press game capture and it will be black until you go to a full screen game like the sims. Hope this helped

Hey Fantayzia! I need help! I been struggling for years trying to film sims videos.. its something I wanna do so bad. For xmas I got a new gaming box and I followed this tutorial and everything seemed identical.. and its still slow. Would the computer monitor itself be an issue? The captures only shows my curser moving around. And the audio of the game is also recorded but the game won't show. I tried to run OBS as administrator but that didn't work out either. All it records is a black screen with my curser moving around. And none of the options are working, not the display capture or anything at all. It just shows the same thing. If u want to record while playing make sure the settings of obs in the audio section is hooked to your mic on the tab it should have the name of your mic. If you want to record separately and add in audio onto a pre-recorded gameplay such as a create a sim video or house build then I've heard people use audacity for that. I hope that makes sense but there is videos on everything

Shimmery Simmer i think it would depend on which obs your using, but what this youtuber is using is a 0.16.6, so unless that might help you. The latest ones are kind of odd, tbh.

all in a great tutorial, but idk for me nothing works it's so exhausting since 3 weeks I try to find a proper way to record the sims 4 but it always lags so so bad and I can't do anything and mostly the game just breaks down, my laptop only has 28GB but I use an external hard drive with 1tb and everything runs on the external hard drive the sims 4 and obs studios but it's not working idk what to do it's just so annoying because I would love to capture my game and finally be able to upload them but it's just way too laggy to even start the game right

+xxolara it's probably not working because your laptop doesn't have high enough specs to handle the sims 4 and recording. An external hard drive can help but it won't help enough if your laptop specs are too low and if you don't have a graphics card to handle the sims 4 correctly. If you're able to save up for a new laptop that would be best :)
