@fanticman .
A test ride on my freshly built Fantic GT 'Mega Six'.
Still some finishing off and fine tuning to be done, it could easily run a larger front sprocket for example. Rev counter is currently showing double the actual revs, nearly 25000rpm does look good though!
This bike will be for sale soon so please get in touch to discuss.

Of course the GPS doesn't lie but it actually felt way faster than that!

Wow!! What a ride, you are getting some mega speeds there. I daren’t push mine that much (shouldI/ could I?) I have touched 40 on the same gps speedo. I see you have a digital Rev counter, maybe I should get one too🤔 What are my ‘safe’revs in your opinion 😁

This is a full blown racing engine with a 26mm carb, so not much poke lower down but it really starts to fly once in the powerband, 10-13000!. A 'standard' engine will rev into the high 9000s. As you have probably noticed going up through the gears, the power drops off noticeably just past peak revs....so there is no point trying to scream it past the peak power/rpm. You can alter the timing to give more 'over-rev' but you are better off keeping to the 'safe' option with reasonable power through the range, much nicer to ride on the road and will last much longer.

@@fanticman agree Mark, I’m more than happy with the performance for the limited miles I do. Not like the old days when I was commuting to work and tech college 😁 Might get a Rev counter though to keep an eye on them.

Yes, I said in the description that it would benefit from a larger front sprocket. But for a first test ride the 13t front sprocket was a good starting point. I have run this engine before in a Testi Champion Special with 14/35 sprockets, 68mph/110 km/h top speed...in 5th gear! There is not much torque low down so it is not too easy to ride with long gearing........but when that power band hits......

I've been lucky so far with all the Nicasil lined cylinders......

@@alexrankin8263 You have the Aluminium cylinder with the iron barrel sleeved into it. Much better for long term use than the earlier cast iron cylinder with improved heat dissipation. The later aluminium cylinders with the Nicasil plated bores are a further improvement and can be run flat out for long periods as long as the carb/ignition/exhaust setup is correct.
