In many ways this reminds me of her cover of Blue: dramatic, haunting, powerful. It feels almost like the sequel. In Blue she was depressed and in turmoil - she knew what was happening...but now in Fur Elise she has come to terms with it, and accepted her fate - she's dressed in black almost like a funeral for any hope of freeing herself. Fur Elise is the moment of anguish when she gives up says: screw it, I'd rather be played in this masterpiece than to escape and lose it. The Blue is now the Red.

I love how different Faouzia is as an artist. Seems like whatever she does, she stays in her own lane and doesn't follow any trends. While nowadays many other artists rely too much on sampling old hits, she decided to sample a classical piece. "Für Elise" is beautiful and so is this song ❤ I close my eyes and imagine the entire choreography to this melody in my head. I can see two lovers having their last dance before splitting up.

How you weave the classical music theory with modern musical chord progressions is really great! It is a really solid modern re-interpretation of the melody!!! + brings back to your older songs that had much greater musical depth which was a nice return + has the lyrical symbolic of your more recent songs about being controlled. A great mix of new and old in the grander music world and in your personal music is really nice to see!
