I used to be glued to the radio whenever it was played from Radio Kashmir. It has the same effect on me even now. I lose interest in anything else when it is playing. This spiritual Sufi number by one of the greatest Saint & Sufi Jenab Ahad Sa’ab Zargar could not have been rendered in more effective manner than by our great artiste Jenab Ali Mohd Sheikh. No other singer has this high pitch in voice. This number also makes me very nostalgic and I immediately return to my roots. Please see if you can make more such Sufi numbers available. Thank you very much, once again.

Simply amazing - he was the best. While growing up in the village as a Pandit child I would observe kashmiri Hindus and muslims tune their radios and listen to these Sufi songs. As these songs would reflect their inner self the oneness, common roots and heritage as we were from the same source the satisar. Kashmir Shavisim and Sufisim the jewel of Kashmir it is for everyone not bound by religion, cast, creed, color and country. It is about your personal journey of revealing “that” within “you” and “you” being “that” God Bless You all!

Kashmiri's irrespective of their birth in a particular community are blessed to have lineage of Sages of Kashmir, 5000 BC old, they very simple people who connect from heart. Unfortunately are under spell in these trying times. It is the responsibility of true spiritual people who understand Kashmir Shavisim and Sufisim and bring that heritage back to Kashmir.

When i used to go school in early seventies and then s.p. college, in the morning we used to listen all sheikh on radio kashmir prog thunz farmayesh all along the route on shopkeepers radio sets which I feel was real feeling of sprituality

Only Sufism can pull Kashmiris out of the curse they have been engulfed in last three decades. Such Kalams and songs stir soul of Kashmiris irrespective of their religion or caste. Musalmanas and Pandits love these Sufiana Kalams equally which itself is the biggest tribute to it. Beautifully sung by late Ali Mohammed Sheikh saheb. No other singer could sing Ahad Zargar's verses in such a marvelous tune.

Legends Ustaad Ali Mohd Sheikh Sahab and Jinab Ab. Ahad zargar Sahab were made for each other.At the one hand I can't imagine such popularity of Jinab Zargar sahab's rich poetry without Ustaad Sheikh Sahabs melodious voice and compositions, at the other hand I can't imagine such popularity and image of Ustaad Sheikh Sahab as high calibre singing star without the rich and golden worded poetry of Jinab Zargar Sahab. Both great sons of the soil will be always remembered as great stars of music field of Kashmir. May the soul of both rest in peace.

Both poet and singer are timeless... i have been close to Ali m shaikh, though i was in my teens, i used to listen him not only on radio but also in cermonies.... i dont feel his void can be filled by anyone. his was unique, pure, soulfull and swett voice which is unparrlled. we, in Hajin, Bandipora, kashmir, celebrate his death anniversary every year. i m surprized to hear from his fellow singers about his spiritual aspects and his Unparrlled personality. heard from him and his family that he has performed in japan, china and almost all the states of india. In seventies and eighties I was a regular listener of Radio Kashmir which was the only medium to listen such high class Sufi kalaam. There is no parallel to Ali Mohammad Shiekh Sahab in singing Sufi kalaam especially this Faqiri song. Kalaam of great Sufi poet Ahad Zargar Sahab and sung by the great Sufi singer Ali Mohammad Shiekh Sahab, my great respect and salute to both.
