What a beautiful song, what a voice this guy has, and of course Tommy Manuel. I don't know what to say how great that guy is. This has made me research and find out who the mavericks are. I LOVE both of these artists and have for years. However, I find this performance uninspired. This song, IMO, is or should be a gentle, wistful offering but Raul hits it strongly and clearly... almost no softness or change in volume from beginning to end... The Mavericks voice at a concert. Tommy's picking was, as usual, technically wonderful... but the arrangement didn't do much for me. It was "gentle and wistful" though, even though it was obvious that his solo was a different take. The contrast between the strong vocal and wistful guitar just didn't work well to my ear. Thanks for asking (lol).
