I remember I first heard of Far Cry 3 in an interview in a magazine and the interviewee kept pressing the idea that you're totally supposed to feel like you go from inexperienced to experienced, that you start out knowing not how to do anything and learn how to survive. And the first gameplay footage I saw was supposedly near the beginning. It consisted of choking out an armed guard in half a second, taking his gun and shooting a bunch of guys with guns.

So I thought it was funny how you guys talked about Far Cry 3 taking place in the Animus then I played the "Lost Expedition" DLC. It starts with you walking into an old abandoned lab and finding a folder with the Abstergo Industries logo and Jason saying "This looks familiar..." O_O

I just finished this again since launch, and I remember vividly this talk about the story being inside the animus or having a different twist that answered so much of the dumb shit that happens. After Vass it takes such a downturn. The endings also doesn't help. Far Cry 4 is surprinsily better at this. Not only is a solid game, it has way fucking better characters. Had to come here again after finishing it

I am disappointed there is no jam mechanic at all - the best ever was when the enemy's weapon jammed (yes it happened!!) but my rationale is Far Cry 2 set in a dusty ass hot sandy African sh1th0le and Far Cry 3 set on a pristine clean island. Maybe if the weapon touched sand or salt water it could jam but unlikely.
