Far cry 4's story was genius, as it really made you think "Damn, are these really the good guys?". The golden path make themselves out to be the righteous rebels, but by the end of the storyline you realize that their rule is even more tyrannical and brutal than Pagan's. Amita turns Kyrat into a massive opiate farm, and Sabal converts the golden path into a gang of human traffickers. Also, all the problems in Kyrat are actually CAUSED by the golden path, not Pagan himself. The worst thing we even see him do is torture POW's, which is bad, but really just something that tends to occur in civil wars throughout history. All the other killing he does is actually pretty justified. For example, in the intro scene we see him stab one of his soldiers to death with a pen. This is supposed to show that Min is a crazy dictator, but if you think about it, that guy shot up a van of innocent civilians. In that sense, Pagan Min is right to execute him. It also shows that he enforces a strict code of conduct over his soldiers, and that he actually cares if his soldiers murder innocents or not. So, Pagan min is actually the lesser of the two evils, and he probably cares more about kyrat than sabal or amita.

Okay, two things really bother me with this ending: One, Pagan mentions scattering the ashes, yet, in the end, you simply place the urn in a shrine. Two, Pagan invites you to shoot some guns, yet there's no option to rain hellfire down on The Golden Path from the sky with a mounted machine gun whilst The Clash plays in the background.

Captain Princess you didn't ask me, but I'll answer) I believe that was just some wishful thinking. I doubt that we can expect a full-fledged alternate campaign, but still... FC3: Blood Dragon wasn't a short one. Maybe, just maybe they would make a DLC? And I'll be damned if I'll ever play "the original" campaign again after that. In my opinion, THIS is what this game is meant to be. And I would even pay 75% of original game's price for that DLC.

I feel that, as gamers, the thought never crosses our mind due to the fear of wasting time standing doing nothing. In most other games if you tried this, you could stand there for hours, completely convinced and devoted to find a hidden ending that'll never come. i think the point of this game is the Good and Evil are based on perception and your choices shape that perception. Pagan Min and the Golden Path both have their reasons for doing both good and evil, in the end it's all about choices and simply living with them. When I heard the song 'Should I stay or should I go' by the Clash I started to think "What if I just listen to the song and stayed." and that's what I did. The game tells you the choice at the start, and its a test to see if the players really pay attention.

Shit... If there is a dlc to join Pagan Min... you better give me the decision to join the Rakshasa. Like in the Multiplayer PvP, but you can still use guns and instead of hunting(since animals are on your side) steal battle garments from the enemy. Also, be able to summon the giant Bird leader of the Rakshasa to destroy whole Golden Path fortresses and camps... Even try to purge Shangri La yet again, trying to wreck havoc and try to chain the bells of enlightenment. Even kill Kalinag and take his Tiger. You'd be able to confront that demon people are cursed to and gain a unique power from him.

I wasn't sure this was the good ending until 6:00...Pagan lost his daughter when Mohan killed her, of course he'd hate the Golden Path. But now, the family is reunited. "Lakshmana shouldn't be alone anymore."

Pagan even invited Darpan to the table, unbeknownst to him that he was a member of the Golden Path. There are so much differences between the intro from FC3 and FC4 that every sign points at this ending as the canon one.

I was just thinking while I was playing this game; I wonder if anyone tried to make a game where you weren't the deciding factor. I mean, one clueless git shows up and suddenly the balance of power for an entire country shifts? That's not the kind of thing that stands up to any real scrutiny. I mean, all of a sudden you're trying to take down a person who has been nothing but polite to you, you flew in from the states and for quite a long time this all had nothing to do with you! Now you have to topple a regime, rebuild society, and the whole reason you took this trip becomes kind of secondary. I mean if I took a trip to China and got grabbed up by a group who'd grown tired of the People's Republic and expected me to fix things, I'd be rather alarmed and a little frustrated.. And to my knowledge, the Golden Path never offered me any crab rangoon! Screw em!

I finished my third playthrough and my conclusion is I love pagan min and hate the golden pad members , the entire playthrough I killed golden pad members and "innocent people" who stole from the dead royal army soldiers

They really should make a DLC where if you choose to join Pagan, you end up fighting the Golden Path, like when they made that extended ending for Mass Effect 3. It could be a very popular DLC. And for those who are still skeptical about the whole idea, are sabal and amita really any better than Pagan; both sides kill, the only differences are the motives. Amita wanted to turn Kyrat into a drug state while Sabal wanted Kyrat to return to it's traditional state even though it would plunge Kyrat into poverty. All that Pagan Min is trying to do is maintain peace and order when you think about it.

I myself played through Farcry 4 and let Pagan live. I had no real motive to kill him. He always acted more like a friend than someone who wanted to "kill" you repeatedly and tell you the definition of insanity (guess that's why they said something like Pagan being that friend that you like but always causes trouble). Anyway after a while the only ones I wanted to kill were Amita and Sabal and anyways the more I played the more I felt like they were the bad guys. I eventually ended up watching the other endings and it turns out they pretty much become the bad guys. I'm probably going to go back and play it like this because other than letting Pagan live, this seems like the only good ending to me.

I wonder what happens after this. When you do the other ending at the actual end of the game (SPOILERS BELOW) . . . And you spare Pagan, he tells you he wants to give you the country, in fact, he does in that ending. He tells you he got you out of the truck to give you the country. However when you do what he does, he tells you "Now we can finally shoot some god damned guns". My bet is that implies they are going to rule kyrat together. Other than that, I love how this game handles the choices. Should I stay or Should I go? - It doesn't matter, whoever you support, whatever you do, Kyrat is doomed. A truck driver tells it to you in one of the first missions of the game, and he will be the only sane person you will meet in Kyrat. he is right.

He ruled a war torn country and let's be real, if pagan wasn't there, Amita and Sabal would have brought a civil war there all by themselves between the two of them! And all in all? Pagan got style. I would have loved to fuck shit up and do mission with him in the headset, explore the spirit world with Yuma and hear questionable but friendly dialogue with DePleur! So much potential...
