How Diego was handled was a good example of subverting expectations. You expect him to either join Libertard or him to fix his father's corrupt government. Well here's the thing about all Far Cry games, you fight for relatively nothing for personal gains but you do it because it's purely from you being a maniac "convince yourself to be the hero", same for Far Cry 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 (the first is just not it, but we are not a good guy in there either). We fighting evil and helps the justice, yes, but the main character themselves mostly just like shooting guns. Same here. Dani would save the kid, but same thing will happen to him, Castillo called they out for that, same for Juan. So putting an option to save Deigo is just gonna make the thing happening again and again so no, it's actually pretty fucked up, him being dead is pretty sad though but same for all far cry endings.
@caroland67702 жыл бұрын
I don't know what Juan was thinking? Did he really think if he shoots the kid, his father would let Clara live? It makes no sense! He only had one option: take Anton Castillo out. And he failed! It was his fault that Clara died and later Diego! And then he blamed everyone but himself!

@@mattavery7581 As for an ideal Far Cry 6, there could not only be endings for Anton, Diego or Dani but also for Clara, Juan, Camila Montero, the Maximas Mantanzas (Talia, Bicho Paolo), Yelena Morales and the Legends of 67 (Lorenzo and Lucky Mama) .Each character/s gets a "good", "neutral" and a "bad" ending. Each of their 3 endings concern them getting the opportunity to rule Yara their way and it all boils down to a plot twist where Dani is the bastard child of Anton Castillo, but since his/her mother could be seen as scandalous to the regime, she was either killed or left for dead which explains WHY DANI COULD BE ORPHANIN THE FIRST PLACE. When Dani discovers the truth, it's the players choice then to whether she/he will tell this to anyone of her allies. And obviously, they won't react as kindly which can lead to the neutral and bad endings. How can this be measured as a progression? Well, again the player's choice comes into play on what faction does she come help more: Libertad (if this the player will choose either Clara, Juan or Dani in the end to rule/come out on top), Camila and the Monteros, Maxima Mantanzas or the Legend of 67 and La Moral (Yelena, Lorenzo and Lucky Mama). Different progression bars for each factions that continue constantly with no end decide that factor and although all factions untied will go on to Esperanza to take out Castillo or you know, the player could just join him for sick reasons hehe I'll get back to that or you could just have nothing to do with the factions who are likely to take things far with their campaigns and just take care of Diego in either ruling together or escaping to Miami together. Anyways, those separate progression bars made to whether a player's choice helps a faction a bit more and that faction will rule at the end. I have so many more ideas for Far Cry 5 AND 6 it's unreal.

I never get this weird trope of where two people point their guns at each other and act as if they are in some sort of standoff. If two people have swords in their hands pointed at each other, that might work. Because your sword can defend from the other person's sword if they make a move. But when its a gun... what exactly is the point? If they decide to fire, you won't be able to stop them, and really the person who fires first is going to live. So pointing your gun back at them isn't some sort of defense that is going to dissuade them in any way.

I'll be honest - I was really satisfied when Dani went to punch Juan and he evaded. Usually in these games when you have that powerful female revolutionary she's damned near invincible, aggressively represents some progressive message, and gets to beat up/kill/torture a bunch of male characters. Here you totally get why she did what she did, why she threw the first punch, but the person she aimed at isn't easy prey and returns the favor. It's refreshing honestly. I was waiting for him to get decked.
@yugao233 жыл бұрын
Weird take. Dani can be also a male and do the exact actions, but you wouldn't be saying that if male Dani was the powerful revolutionary. Dani, male or female, here is in clear distress. Sloppy, and Juan took advantage of that. I'm honestly surprised Dani got over it so quickly.

@@yugao23 Yours is a weird take as well and reiterated my point. Dani is female and it was refreshing seeing her actually get bounced because the events are the same for the male Dani.
