This 1950s black and white morality play titled “Far From Alone” was made by Jam Handy productions / Kingswood Studios for the Board of Temperance of the Methodist Church. It was directed by prolific TV director Jean Yarborough. The film aspires to encourage their audience to stick to their convictions of not drinking despite societal pressures to do so. The film features a robust cast and crew such as Jean Yarborough as director, Ray Wilson as screenwriter, Harry Burrell as photographer, Samual Benavie as music advisor and Ron Hagerthy, Sally Fraser, James Lydon, Alan Dinehart III, Tom Laughlin, Maurice Manson, Virginia Carroll, Alan Dexter as the main characters.

Ask a doctor for help if you're having trouble quitting. They have meds that will help get you off alcohol. That's if your drinking is out of control.

Talk about inflation: (20:51) "six bits a shot for that stuff"! A bit is 12 1/2 cents, 75 cents for a shot.

I agree with the message of free choice to abstain from alcohol, but there are just as many bad notions promoted in this film, including right at the end, with the toxic vibe of “goodness is rewarded with a beautiful woman.”
