What does Elias need to do to win. The last point is the perfect reflection of what a monster Farag is right now. Elias was inch perfect for like 15 shots and still lost the point. Both amazing amazing players but about time Elias levels out their head-to-heads.
@remcovandijk2795 күн бұрын
Well what I saw from this summary is that Elias cannot hit winners when he has the opportunity. Loose dropshots, lengths that catch the side wall half-way and shots to the back court when Farag is out of position that come way too high on the back wall so Farag still gets there and returns the ball, with interest. When that happens to me, I usually blame the court and/or the ball😅

what a treat for these two to be playing each other in great matches . . squash as good and creative as the sportsmanship
@edwinmelvin5 күн бұрын
Elias has the skills, but always seems to gas out. Between these two fabulous athletes, stamina is the most determinant factor.
@hyperfluous47515 күн бұрын
Elias makes the consistent mistake of hitting his length just a lil too hard against farag, medium hard, Whereas Farag hits more medium soft all the time, Result = Farag always has more juice in the tank come the 4th and 5th games. Even Asal normally plays medium pace and much slower than Elias, and injects power only when trying to end the rally. I think Elias knows this is why he always gasses out, But doesn't have the confidence nor skill to take on Farag on at a slower pace either, Farag has better hands simply because he cuts the ball more in his short game and so just beats him at it too. I think Elias needs to try to take him on at a slower game instead, and get just a lil more clinical w his short game and put aways.

A shame to see the frustration from Elias at the end, but what a testament to just how good Farag is right now. I think Farag must be one of the best, if not THE best ambassador for his sport anywhere on the planet. Almost always the nicest guy on court and shows so much respect for his opponents. Class
