a response to comments and thanks to the Jeremy Vine show and Storm Huntley for details that do not seem to appear elsewhere and put Farage's points into perspective...In a brief interview for channel 4, Farage claims to exist in an 8-day week and to work 7 days. I am impressed: it is a faintly theological construct.

It is rather naïve to think that Farage was elected in Clacton to deal solely with local issues and that if he spends a day or two away, that that shows him to be letting his constituency down. Or is that really what you believe? Being located across the ocean does not prohibit him giving his opinion. Dozens and dozens of MPs do this frequently. Bear in mind that there was a riot by a sizable group of Bangladeshi immigrants in London over a political matter that took place thousands of miles away in Bangladesh at the VERY same time as the Harehills riot. Disorder of a subcontinental nature, one might say. You accused Farage of "inflaming tensions" in your previous post. I saw lots of tension and flames in those Harehills videos, none of them caused by Farage. I think over four million people have stood up and said that they are not going to just sit back like a lot of lily-livered wet lettuces and turn the other cheek, sing "Don't Look Back in Anger", or leave it up to inept politicians and the police to tread carefully so "not as to offend anyone". It's amazing how Farage lives rent free in so many people's heads, like those economic migrants we taxpayers are footing the bill for, also living rent free. I don't really like the guy and never voted for his party, but he's more likely to come up with a damn solution than these wets who just turn a blind eye, or refuse to discuss the subject with any meaningful intent or ACTION.

That said, it's arguably as to whether or not Farage, by dint of being an MP, has a greater responsibility than Wilson when he comments and/or expresses an opinion. Anyone with a public forum (including Wilson) has a responsibility to present actual facts and not distort them using rhetoric, bias or bigotry. Once again you have a fixation about Nigel Farage, have you nothing else to discuss? You must understand you will not cancel him with your nonsense, he’s faced worse many times before.A right wing wind is blowing through Europe and the USA, and now the UK. He is my MP in Clacton and does not worry anymore here that he is in America for a few days. For lords sake why don’t you grow up and hound someone else, a left wing loony for example. But no I guess not, that would be too close to home would it not.
