I do think though this law where children who break the law cannot be named for legal reasons needs to be changed. I personally think if a child is charged for murder, attempted murder or manslaughter that law should be crossed of and the person should be named regardless of age…. The average natural gas price in UK is just about what it is in Canada. The only difference is that your government hasn't brought out a carbon tax to go net zero. The carbon tax amounts to over 400% of the commodity cost on my bill, that means I am paying 5 times what you are just because of the tax. Hopefully the Labour Government doesn't see how much cash they can bring in with a carbon tax, if they do you will be doomed.

I'm from the USA. My family moved here from England in the 1850's. I'm sure many will think I have no voice in this. But, (my opinion of course) I am expressing my opinion on the Southport incident. The young man whom committed this horrific crime. First off, seems like there's more information about him than the UK public has been told. (Lots of information about his family and place of birth) and just because he's 17 should NOT be a reason to not inform everyone. This boy.. didn't shoplift, he killed 3 young girls. Your people need to know who and why this happened. And take steps to assure that not only it will not be swept under the carpet, but that your government and police force is there to do all they can to STOP and punish these actions. Transparency is necessary. Finding out the root cause of these problems and act on it (my opinion). My heart 💜 is with the victims and families affected. Take care of each other. Boy? He’s a 17 year old, meaning he’s old enough to join the army and drive a car. Sorry, but this individual is a young man. The fact the police are not revealing anything about name and description of the killer. The senior police officer working in intelligence saying we will get answers in due course, seems too vague. We have to reinstate police patrols, the carrying of knives should carry an automatic prison sentence and ensure prison sentences are real deterrents.
