That's great. I can learn new words from this interview. Kru Smuk, is there a Thai language prefix rule for hidden aw-ang in some Thai words? although aw ang is not written, we say it out. How would I know when two words at the end of the syllable is read as Sara-oo or Sara-aaw?

Currently learning Thai to get my PT license. I wish I could find a job while learning until I get my license. You were very lucky to have one while learning. I hope I can do it ^^

Great video. I follow you on spotify and enjoy your videos. I am just curious about one thing... Why do you roll with the "R´s" and why do you use "ter" instead of "khun"? I am learning thai right now and my wife are thai, and i never hear her roll with the "R´s" but use "L" instead, and both her and my teacher tell me that "ter" is not really used as it is a very formal word. My teacher have worked as a teacher for 7 years in Thailand and have heard it used one time only. So why not learn us the real thai and just pronounce "r´s" as "L´s" just use the normal word you use in your dayly life?

The problem with your title many people take Farang as derogatory word
@BananaThaiSchool3 жыл бұрын
I totally understand you. In my point of view as well as other Thais, we call Farangs with respect and no harmful intention.

@@BananaThaiSchool I personally don't believe that just heard a lot of people that aren't as familiar with Thailand say that. I'm 71 and was stationed in Thailand during the Vietnam war in korat and nakorn phanom. It is my dream to return to Thailand one last time I would love to buy you dinner in appreciation of what I learned from jergan popgan mai

Potato is called มันฝรั่ง in Thai, because it comes from the west. Would anyone think that thais are derogatory towards potatoes as well? This alone proves that the word ฝรั่ง farang is not derogatory in and of itself.
