finally found someone who said what was exactly on my mind. Yes, i agree with you that Sonakshi is not a bad actor but she made some poor movie choices. she acted in movies like r...rajkumar, rowdy rathore, action jackson and many more where she was just acting as the eye candy. if Sonakshi did some performance oriented roles earlier in her career like lootera, then she would have been in the top league of actresses. she's much better than alia in my opinion.

Can we talk about the cinematography and direction my gosh!!!! The sea of black leaving and she walks through in the opposite direction. Gosh that was sooooo amazing!! Her taking back that ring that was JUST taken back by Mallikajaan. SAVAGE! 😅😅🔥🔥🔥😭😭😭 Which is then mirrored in the finale by a sea of light and colors instead of darkness and black mourning clothes.

Sonakshi did a commendable job. However, her character graph let her down big time. it would have been interesting to see Fareedan not letting go of her hatred for Mallika Jaan and remaining cold and evil till the end

Yes, you are right! Especially since Fareedan had hatred for Mallikajaan since childhood. In real life, if we have lost someone really close to us due to something negative or traumatic during our childhood, the pain/hate stays for a lifetime. That person is never able to let go of it (in most cases). Because the incidents which take place in our childhood, shape us into the person we become as an adult. It is normal psychology. The makers should have kept this in mind for the character of Fareedan.

Fareedan didn't die, fareedan's mother rehanna died. This is rehanna's daughter. Mallikajaan sold her after her mother's dead at young age. Now she comes back grown to take revenge on mallikajaan. This is the daughter (fareedan) of rehanna.
