Brings me back feelings of sitting on my bed, feet not even able to touch the ground. Behind me, on my wall - a homemade banner made of construction paper, tape, and string that reads "Runescape." I'm listening to old, degraded cassettes out of my mom's leather-wrapped portable tape recorder. Hot dinner is ready in 10 minutes, boxed tuna tetrazzini. It's cold outside but the hot air rises from the vents in our small house and swirls around me, like a gentle squeeze. Thank you

Love it!, such a beautiful song. Not many guitarists have the ability to write and play something so melodic and ethereal sounding that it can really take the mind of the listener to somewhere completely out there. You and Steve Vai are 2 guitarists that I find myself turning on most if I'm feeling down or depressed or upset because it has the ability to just completely separate me from the negative emotions in my life at that moment and completely shift my entire mood. When you're able to have your playing do that to someone that's how you know you truly have an amazing gift. Your playing is so inspirational, I've been playing guitar for 20 years (since I was 10 years old) and your playing has opened up a new door in my brain to a style of technical playing that I never knew existed. 😊😊

@@bearnando What I was doing was pressing too hard, because my finger positioning was not optimal, so the strings needed pressing harder to avoid buzzing. With some practice on better fingering I found I was able to use much less force. This was a combination of where I put my thumb behind the neck and how close to the frets I pressed on the strings. Then the pain in my wrist subsided pretty quickly. If you're putting a lot of physical effort into playing, you're doing suboptimally and should be able to find a better hand positioning that takes less physical effort.

Dear Yvette, I only just discovered your music from the Guitar World article, which I now thank heavens I had a chance to read...in the week since then you've rocketed past Eastick, Page & even Hendrix to become my favorite guitarist, and frankly musician of any kind. I hear echoes of Robert Fripp and Vini Reilly, but your timing, melodies and proficiency are in another league entirely, utterly sublime! And if that were not enough, your palette of tones is so varied and so beautiful... I can't think of anyone else's music that literally brings smiles to my face every time I listen :) To call you a natural is to use an overworked expression that very very few musicians really truly deserve, but it's the only word that describes how perfectly music seems to flow from you, we are so lucky to have you in this world! I wish you the stellar career you deserve, if enough of the world can discover and appreciate your incredible talent. Thank you so much on behalf of all of us!

I've listened to extreme metal most of my life, and never had any interest in learning guitar. It wasn't until I started getting into atmospheric black metal and randomly got recommended some math rock, which lead me to your playthrough of Ares, that I decided I had to learn. I'm completely awful, the strings are killing my fingers, and I'm so far from where I want to be, the light at the end of the tunnel might as well be a dim star during the daytime. That being said, I think my biggest hurdle is going to be learning to see music the way you do. Your background in theory and piano allow you to compose in a way other guitarists don't. I'm not saying I want to sound like you, but something you said about singing a song in your head and then learning to play that on the guitar struck a chord with me. I'm learning using apps, and videos for regular guitar, but I'm planning on getting formal lessons for classical guitar, both because of how well it translates to fingerstyle and how it integrates into atmospheric/acoustic black metal. I admire you in a way I haven't anyone before, can you offer me some direction so I can reach my goals?
