Farewell 'East Gateshead Loop' |

The 'East Gateshead Loop' brand has been discontinued 4 months after the 'East Gateshead Orbit' brand was replaced by 'North Tyne Rockets' back in September. 6160 and 6161 have been repainted into the new 'Sunderland Connect' livery and 6156-6159 have been wrapped in 'Elite Training Academy' livery.
In this video we see various Loop buses across the region operating services 10, 21, Scholars 134, 941, H, X21 and more. They were branded for services 93/94 operating a Gateshead loop via Heworth, Low Fell and Team Valley.

Just hope that none of the decisions to withdraw certain route brands this year doesn't end up backfiring on them, provided they are able to fill or enable a replacement for any areas left without a single bus allocated to it.

@@klhtransportvideos Tricky one for certain but now after what has happened, you may soon have a decision to make on what your next step is. Time is the only healer. How do you feel now? Are you confident enough to accept what has happened, recover from it as soon as I can before, moving forward with filming transport videos with the same level of enthusiasm and enjoyment as before? Only you now the answers to those questions.

I hope 307/309 gets a refresh, or even just their buses get new Coband and Coast paint on it. The liveries on them is pretty fallen apart

@NK53HXX Unfortunately, I don't think there are any plans to do anything with Cobalt&Coast in the near future. I expect the 307/309 will either go into fleet livery or a shared livery with Arriva's 306/308 at some point. Maybe fleet livery with common branding for the 306/308 and 307/309. Sad to see East Gateshead Loop gone. We've lost QuayCity, Orbit and Loop this year, with QuayCity becoming Quaycity VOLTRA, Orbit buses changing into North Tyne Rockets and Loop buses getting repainted into Sunderland Connect and wrapped in Elite Training Academy.

@@klhtransportvideos if GNE were to do a shared livery, arriva wouldn’t do any of theirs in it, the workers at Blyth can’t even fit a cab fan correctly lol
