I've not seen a proper study of The 13th Warrior's cinematography yet. It wasn't the biggest film by any means, and it definitely went through production hell, but the final picture had a raw, genuine look that's always stuck with me. I'd watch that video in a heartbeat!

I would like to hear Deakins talk about the big Lebowski and the man who wasn’t there it’s kinda weird how he doesn’t talk about them much also if you could make something about blood simple that would also be appreciated because there’s not much conversation about that film

@@user-uw3fr7cd9z Thanks for the great suggestions. A Blood Simple video is definitely on the way. We'll try to find some stuff on Deakins talking about the Big Lebowski. Stay tuned!

Great interview about a fantastic movie. It's my personal favourite Coen movie. Unfortunately in Hollywood today, movies like "Fargo" are a rare exception. The Coen Brothers and a few others are still making movies with real lasting cinematic value, instead of the Marvel comics/big explosions/ultra-violent/green screen CGI blockbuster crap that has totally taken over the industry.

Team Deakins has an episode where James and Roger talk to Denis V and they spend a good amount of time delving into Incendies. Treat yourself.

Where is the location where Gaear chases the 2 people in the car and the car flips over? Also is the same spot the next morning where Margie uses the barf line?

With an exception to Blade Runner 2049 everything after Fargo has been quite minimalist for Deakins. And that’s not a bad thing, every filmmaker brings their own unique style and that is why I love this art form.

I don’t really consider Macy to be the main character. Going into it I thought Frances was the main character (for reasons I can't explain it was years after release before I finally saw it). After watching it I saw it as more of an ensemble cast.

jesus, I hate these edits. music blasting, so the yt algorithm cannot pick up copyright violations, and spoiling the whole thing.

Oh, this video definitely got a copyright notice, but I'm allowed to keep it up. I'm sorry you hate these videos. I started this channel because I realized that a lot of people were not getting the opportunity to enjoy the BTS material that comes with physical media. Unfortunately, I no longer have time to make these videos due to my work schedule.

Hi Ozzie, it's called "Argonne" by Zachariah Hickman. You can find it in the KZbin Studio Audio library. I didn't add it to the credits because the artist does not make that a requirement to use their music. However, since there is an interest in the music in these videos, I will try to start crediting all the music I use. Thanks for watching!
