Exactly. He is the cause of all the problems. Hakim Phuppo is angry with Shah Alam, because he left her alone as Badshah Begum. She even said in one of the episodes "jo kismat behen ke liye manjoor thi ab beti ke liye bhi accept nahin" or something like that. Clearly she became corrupt by power, but she also was forced to sacrifice herself, her happiness while Shah Alam neglected his duties. As much as I hate Murad, I also feel sad as he had no real parent figure. Phuppo pampered him, but didn't give him any guidance, and Shahzaib was a child himself. Both of them grew up without any loving and guiding parent. Even Jahanara had to raise her 2 younger siblings "maine in dono ko bache ki tara pala hain." What the hell was Shah Alam doing, then? Didn't even bother caring for the kids from his love marriage, just focused on using them to get the gaddi and take revenge. All round, the real villain of the story!
