Great instruction. Where most fail is assuming the coding didn’t work and clear everything again. No. Code as a single code with the garage remote, and then if it doesn’t work because it is a rolling code, DON’T clear again... simply push the learn button on the motor, get back in the car, push the button you want to program 1, 2, 3. Then Done!

Just bought a 2013 BMW 335 and this worked just as described in the video. I watched another video with I think a BMW salesperson explaining it and they said for rolling code to press the button twice, and that didn’t work. Had to press it three times as shown in this video. Thanks!

The user manual for my car (F22) has different instructions which are not applicable to the mirror I have (green LED instead of orange, hold button for 3 sec instead of pressing 3 times, etc.) Your instructions saved me. Thanks a lot!

I had trouble with this the first time around, so I was lamenting doing it again. I came here because all your videos are so fantastic, but this one didn't work for me because I don't have a rolling code. I found this out after having pressed the learning button and upon pressing the button on the mirror it didn't blink FAST, but had a slow blink on all 3 presses. This is the clue. If this happens, there is no rolling code. Keep making awesome videos sir!

Thanks dude! It works on my F25 after 10 times trying and realized that the ignition will turn off automatically after a minute. So better turn it on again for the 2nd procedure (rolling code).

This was the best video on this. It does seem to help to do both the non-rolling remote method then the learn method. It also took awhile for the homelink system in car to be trained by the remote. For some reason, I could only train button 2 and not button 1. Perhaps I need to reset the homelink again and button 1 would work, just going to live with button 2 for now.

You’re awesome! This helped and it worked on a opener from the early 2000s. First hold the controller and the home link button, then hit learn, then hit home link button three times. The light from the opener should blink and it’s learnt! Thanks again!

This works mostly, but on my 2019 435I, as stated in the owner's manual, you must hold the desired button for 3 seconds in the final step. If the garage doors moves, you are done. You may have to press it up to 3 times, but each time it must be held for at least 3 seconds.

It doesn't work for me. I've done everything. Rolling code. but I can program the remote and it will work. I go though all steps for rearview mirror Home Link and tried it even ways I came up with. No Joy. It an old 303MZ Wayne Dalton Garage door motor and Toyota probably don't work on 303Mhz. Home link seems to communicate with the 303mhz remote it does all flashes slow and fast. I get the learning button on and push it twice to make it flash too go to car and still will not work. The buttons on the home link to push the door open and close are not lighting up but they never have. Yes I have erased everything according to the owners manual. I am still thinking its the 303Mhz. Its old 1997 technology! If you have any suggestions I would appreciate it! I am in the USA BTW... I think Canada is different?
