Just a gamer dad getting a couple of games in a day if I'm lucky. Currently climbing out of gold with jng Yorick. Not a great player but I get an S+ every single game regardless if it's a win or not. I still heavily prefer the first strike rune page with more gold, faster boots and earlier maiden lvl 2 so I wasn't affected by the legend haste changes pluys jack of all trades also gives flat haste. Only other main difference I see is I usually run swiftness that I swap for zephyr endgame. I value movement a lot on Yorick especially when playing more lethality.

Right now i'm swapping up the secondary for inspiration, so still picking up the approach velocity for the bonus movement speed. I think it might be an alternative for you too if you feel like experimenting. I don't find as much time to play anymore either so its hard getting the games in!

You were always an inspiration for me over the years i quit league and played active from S: 7 - 8, started again and i eill try to get better with yorick jng the strat is pretty simple and i still dont get why nobody sees the strenght of yorick jng like nobody is playing it despite beeing great

It's crazy to me that people are still around since the start of it all. Appreciate it all. I definitely wouldn't be playing it if Yorick wasn't in a good state, but his jungle is definitely in one of the best I've ever seen. The only time you'll generally struggle this season is if your team mates get hard gapped by default. You usually need at least 1 other person to do well.

how do you get past early game as yorick? my games don't last more than 15/20 mins cause my team feeds and yorick isn't that strong unless you get kills

It depends on what's happening in your games. Are you finding the enemy jungler popping off quickly and farming your lanes? If you're being very absent in the game early, you'll likely notice the enemy jungle camping your lanes and getting a strong early lead. The current meta is very pro-active and you can't just sit back and farm - doing that you basically coinflip whether or not your game goes past 15 minutes. I'd suggest if that's the case, try practice an invade style with a priority on their camps > your camps. You can try do an early enemy raptor ward and start at your wolves. If they don't show there, or you know they're starting blue side, you can do wolves > their red > their krugs > your blue/gank top. You take out their topside jungle and then path backwards towards your bottom side before they have time to react. Importantly, don't take their raptors because that gives them enough stall time to not realise you're taking red/krugs/already escaped. You can do the same on the blue side, but just don't take wolves away from them.

You can use the rule of "look where the maiden is, and press R, she will run to her closest lane". It's very consistent in your half of the map, but be careful on the enemy half because she doesn't default to running into your side of the map.

This is just my opinion after playing Yorick jg with a few games with few setups. I used to only play lethality yorick top with conq. After playing some jungle, for me conqueror takes too long to setup as sometimes you may meet someone in the jungle and you need quick bursts to help you rather than taking long extended fights, as that will sometimes mean more time for the enemy to respond and make the situation worse, as there are no easy ghouls source in the jungle (unlike in lane where there are minions), sometimes once your ghouls are dead, conqueror becomes even harder to stack up. I'm just plat elo though so just my 2 cents.

@@TheNerdyTannator I actually like your view on that. Conqueror for me is the same, but i think both play a very similar role as a keystone. Unless you're running comet or dark harvest, you basically lose your keystone once the game hits around 20 minutes in. At that stage, you're pretty much only throwing ghouls and rarely ever auto attacking. That's where hail of blades excels, because its very strong early and utilised when you can only get one to two attacks off in a fight. Conqueror will constantly not be stacked and showing 0 healing, probably capping at 6 stacks per fight. HOB is just easier to ensure your early game is strong and then take over mid game with item purchases.

Generally go Hail of Blades for the early-game pressure, and take ultimate hunter so you can drop maiden often late game. You can pair it with whatever secondary, but i strongly prefer to go exhaust and take inspiration for the free movement speed off approach velocity. If you want to take anything else secondary, you can make it work. Runes won't dictate how well you play, it will be entirely your decision making during the game and item spikes.

Not exactly a bug, unfortunately the range of the ghoul raise was shorter than the distance of the grave. That's been a thing ever since they changed the radius a couple of patches ago. It's the sole reason you can have 8 ghouls on grubs in certain circumstances.
